I've been figuring out how I want to run necrons this edition and this is what I've come up with. Looking for any thoughts about changes/ tactics you'd recommend.

SAUTEKH PATROL:

HQ:
Imotekh the stormlord; WT: hyperlogical stratergist - 145 (+2CP)

TROOPS:
Warriors w/ Reapers - 130

Warriors w/ Reapers - 130

ELITES:
Skorpekhs - 105

Nightbringer; Gaze of death, Cosmic fire - 350

TRANSPORT:
Ghost ark - 145

SAUTEKH PATROL (-2CP):

HQ:
Skorpekh Lord; EXTRA WT: Enduring will, Relic: Veil of Darkness - 130 (-1CP)

TROOPS:
Immortals w/Tesla - 95

ELITES:
Deceiver; Cosmic Insanity, Antimatter Meteor - 350

FAST ATTACK:
Scarabs - 45

Wraiths - 105

AUXILIARY DETACHMENT (-2CP):

ELITES:
Transcendent; Transdimentional Thunderbolt, Sky of falling stars - 270

TOTAL: 2000 (9CP)

The heavy hitters of this list are going to be the 3 C'Tan, everything else is there for various forms of board control. The fast moving threats like scarabs, wraiths and the ghost ark warriors will move to block and get early control of objectives. The tesla immortals throw volume fire to deal with hordes and the skorpekhs give a reasonable push threat for shifting control of objectives. Skorpekh lord has veil to rapidly redeploy a warrior squad preferably behind the enemy mid to late game.

Imotekh keeps the list at a decent cp level and leans into the mortal wound damage that the C'Tan throw out. The C'Tan provide pressure with their unkillable nature and the varying levels of danger they cause once they get into the enemy lines.

I see what You are doing with the c'tan which are certainly broken haha

However, i feel like You are skipping the doomstalker, which are insane...

Despite these, your list looks strong on objectives but versus hordes your volume is quite low.. You Will probably win anyway on Turn 4-5.

Good list man, let us know how well it did !

Tom's list looks more like monster mash.
But I'm not really fond of the Pylon.

If no Dropbunkers, then perhaps

- Pylon

+ 3 Canoptek Spyders
+ Skorpekh Lord
+ 5 Skorpekh Destroyers

Skorpekh Lords are not unique. So it would work.
I'd take 5 Orphydian Destroyers due to their setup close to the enemy.

So I ran this list against a friend of mines death guard. His list was more or less the current metas triple burst crawler but with spewers and the 4++ buff, a demon prince, biologus, 5 termies, 3 death shroud termies and a drill full of grenades. He also allied in a nurgle demon detachment with the locus and 3 min nurglings squads.

It was a pretty brutal game and very close ending 63-62 (would have actually been 71-62 but I was lazy positioning the nightbringer on my last turn) in favour of the necrons. I had 2 ctan and imotekh still alive and the death guard had the drill and 2 plague marines.

The list seemed to just fall apart in the first half of the game until I could start gaining momentum with the ctan but then they just tore through the death guard like wet paper. I'll definitely be making some changes going forward but it was a really fun list to play and did some real work once it got going.

Updated my list slightly. This one leans into what works with the previous version but goes very light on board control and bodies in exchange which can make things difficult in 9th. I'll have to play carefully so as not to lose units unnecessarily and really rely on the strengths of the ctan and the DDA's.

Mixed patrol
Plasmancer(sautekh), prismatic vanquishers mask 90

Troops
Immortals(nephrekh) 85

Elites
Nightbringer - 350

Fast
Scarabs(Szarekhan) - 45
Wraiths(novokh) - 105

Sautekh

Hq
Imotekh warlord hyperlogical strategist - 145

Troops

Warriors - 130

Elites
Deceiver - 350
Cryptothralls - 40

Heavy support

DDA - 190
DDA - 190

AUX

Elites
Transcendent c'tan- 270

10cp

The mixed detachment is something I don't see people use too often but it should be interesting.
