I have a question regarding -1 damage rules.

Is it per wound done you subtract 1 from the damage it causes. Essentially shooting autocannons into a dreadnought turns it into a damage 1 weapon, or is it -1 damage from the pool at the end of the salvo?

It's per attack. So autocannons get hurt a lot.
