Hi everybody, I've got a game on TTS in a few days where I'll be going up against either White Scars or some form of CSM. I wanted to try out the Kill Tank rules now that they've been updated and I wanted to see what people thought about the list I've come up with so far.

2000 Point Deffskullz Armoured Krumpany List

Total CP: 12-6-3= 3CP

Ork Deffskullz Super Heavy Detachment Detachment (-6CP) - 825

2 x Kill Tanks with Gigashootas - 550

Kill Tank with Bursta Kannon - 325

Ork Deffskullz Patrol (0CP) - 1174

HQ - 230

Warboss with Warbike with Da Killa Klaw - 115

Warboss on Warbike with Killsaw, Warlord Trait: Brutal but Kunnin (-1CP), The Biggest Boss - 115

Troops - 50

10 Grots - 50

Fast Attack - 660

3 x Shokkjump Dragstas with Gryoscopic Whirlygigs (-1CP) - 330

3 x Megtrakk Skrapjets with Korkscrew (-1CP) - 330

Elites - 234

3 Meganobz, Kustom Shootas and PK - 114

3 Meganobz, Dual Killsaws - 120

I've been debating on whether or not I should drop the bursta kannon so I can take another squad of kommandos to drop more objective grabbers in the enemy backfield, though with 3 dragstas that shouldn't be an issue. The boyz are likely each going into a kill tank and I was wondering if I should move things around and grab trukks for them to go into instead. Or should I take away the boyz altogether and just grab grots and use the savings to more Kommandos that way. I'm taking one Kill tank with the Bursta Kannon on the off chance of having to deal with terminators or bladeguard vets, since that flat 3 damage is going do decent work against them. I'm also potentially debating dropping one of the Warbosses on Warbikes for a Big Mek with KFF, but I feel like I need the CC punch of two warbosses given how much I've already invested into the shooting aspect of the army.

What do you guys think?

I don't see why you went with battalion at all. Just take a patrol.

If you wanna throw guys inside the kill tank I'd take Mega Nobs instead.

Take 1 patrol, 1 boy squad, one 4 man Mega Nob squad . Unfortunately, you're 5 points short to do two 3 man Mega Nob squads and 1 grot squad if this is exactly 2000. If you wanted to drop down to triple Giga, you might have a couple more options.

I just based and washed my first Kill Tank over the last couple of days, I'm stoked to throw them on the table too.

edit: if you don't mind losing 1 attack, you could also take a walking warboss with Da Killa Klaw + da biggest boss. It gives you a bit more Obsec too. Saves you 32 points as well. Worth it imo.

That's a really good point, I completely forgot I could take a patrol instead for some reason. I've opted to go for the last option you mentioned, but I noticed I'm still over by 3 points because of the blasted kustom shoota I have to take for the Warboss. So I'm stuck between being over 3 or 5 points xD

I guess I could swap out one squad's killsaws for the Meganobz squads to PK and kustom shoota to shave off 6 points.

Honestly, never forget the pocket warboss.

32 points for a bit of extra movement and 1 attack is a tradeoff you can make.. but I would definitely argue the walking warboss often beats the biker boss with Da Biggest Boss upgrade. Getting to that 5th attack, no matter what, is just enough.

32 points, double fight for 3 CP, Obsec (cause best skulls) -- you can equip a rocket if you want as well.

But yeah. Get those boys outta there. Mega Nobs will do way more work than 30 boys, even if they end up doing actions.

Curse your insight! I just finally made it under 2000 by 1 point by swapping the boyz for grots and making one of the Meganob squads have PK and Shootas, so I could keep my other WB on Warbike, but now I'm reconsidering making him to go on foot again. I thought having both on Warbikes would make sense given the mechanized nature of the list, so it's a really tough call tbh.

If only your list featured some sort of transport to get your walking boss up there

Let's say we go for the foot option instead and I went back for the dual killsaw options for other other meganob squad, I would have about 26 points left, not sure what I would actually be able to spend it on beyond a kombi-rokkit on the footboss and slightly beefing out the single grot squad (lol). It's either that or revert back to the 10 man boyz squad while keeping one of the Meganobz squad as PK/Shoota combo. Any suggestions?

Hmmm.

You could do the PK/Rocket + 2x Dual saw on your Mega Nobs to get some rocket support in your list, as well as on your warboss. That's. 17 points

Then 1 grot for 22 total?
