The general plan for this list is to make a big forward push for the midboard using the chronomancers and TSK to buff up the big warrior blobs. The scarabs are for backfield screening/objective holding; I prefer the ghost ark to push forward with the warriors as its better for move blocking and doesn't compete for the chronomancers 5++. Being able to res a few dead warriors is also pretty handy.

The CCB has a slightly more shooty/backfield role currently, but I was thinking about dropping 2 scarab bases and giving him the orb of eternity to help with the warriors forward push. Having a bunch of warriors res at once gives you some extra movement shenanigans too.

Finally two smaller squads of skorpheks and praetorians gives me good tactical flexibility in terms of what I can put in reserves and encourages my opponent to often overkill these units. Currently I've been going for a squad of each in reserve, having both skorphek units fail a charge out of reserves really hurts, while the other two units help protect the warriors flanks and provide counter charge threats.

It would be great to hear what you guys think, its not like there's many tournaments happening at the moment so I've plenty of time to make alterations

I dont think you can go wrong with 20 warriors pushing with a GA and a chrono.

My tactic is to double down on the push with 9 tomb blades. SK gives each rerolls and each 2+ to hit. Plus if you give the chrono the light cover archana you can buff both units with a defensive buff.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Interesting stuff, how'd you find the tomb blades performance wise? You running them obsec? I dont have any of the models so haven't been able to try them out

And for sure, the light cover buff is wicked when you need that 5++ elsewhere, or even if you dont

I've pretty much been running szarekahn all the time. Works well because there are a lot of psykers and mortal wounds where I play. Plus the neat protocol manipulation you can do.

Dropping to one troop choice in most my list now I think Nihlak or custom objective secured will work best.

Also - Tomb blades....I can't leave home without them. They almost always end up being my best unit through the game - as they don't get focused and can respond quickly to where they are needed.

They are great at shooting lightly defended objectives clear.

Capping objectives while still putting out good firepower.

I only have 9 but I think even double or triple that amount would be viable.

That's a big shout for the tomb blades! I saw you posted your list a little while back and I can certainly see people underestimating their fire power, especially if you can get full re-rolls/MWBD on them

They're quite large models too so I can imagine a squad of 9 having a hefty board presence.

It did seem odd that they got the core mechanic but I might have to see if I can't pick a few of them up
