If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Thats a tough call. If you're looking for a single dynasty to run outside of the obvious conquerors/expansionist combo, Nihilakh might actually be alright. You'd still get obsec plus a slightly more defensive buff, with a little bit more flexibility with the protocols.

Personally though in this list I'd drop the SK and forgo protocols to run dual dynasties. I feel like you really want to double down and have a speedy obsec detachment. Especially with all those scarabs, in which case having points for another chronomancer helps massively with their durability

Then you could add another squad of warriors and run that patrol as novokh, to make it slightly more punchy.

Just a thought though mate, if you're happy with your list I'd definitely go with eternal conquerors and relentlessly expansionist

Good ideas all around. Objective secured would be a big boon to the scarabs. As would double chronomancers. I could sneak another Chrono in if I dropped the LHD and a sheild vane. Really dont want to drop the SK because he was the whole idea behind bringing this list.

Dropping the LHD is a good idea, it's only getting 1 shot a turn with the current load out and if you miss that's 70pts of your army sat about doing nothing, whereas you're always gonna get value out of the chronos 5++. It just makes the scarabs such a pain to chew through.

You could also split the spyder squad. It would enable the scarabs to work a little more autonomously while still getting the chance to be reanimated. Otherwise you have to keep both units close to the spyders, which can be difficult seeing as the spyders are that much slower

Let is know how you get on if you play any games dude!
