So, I can't paint well. Shocking, I know. I blame all the rules clogging my head. I can make basic troops look adequate, but anything more complex than that I struggle with. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on painting services, specifically for hero miniatures, and more specifically a Custodes Captain style model, as I would like these to actually look good and not botch it.
From my own research I think TopMiniatures Level 3 might be the best compromise between cost and quality, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with that company, or if not, what companies/persons they could recommend.

link and images? since you're in the UK, look for EU service before reaching out to US or AUS; I can tell you to avoid thirdeyenuke studios, they scam and took people models due to a personal issue for nearly 2 years. Last I heard he haven't returned them and was still trying to scam people. I see that his account here may be wiped and banned.

https://topminiatures.com/aboutus/ They are based in Romania, and an EU service will work for my particular circumstances regardless of the excitement come Jan 1st. But yeah, service in the colonies US or OZ won't really work. Mainly asking to do my due diligence.

they look pretty solid, the pricing for assembly is dirt cheap, considering about 30-40% of my time spent are cleaning mold lines, magnets, pinning, sub assembly etc. quality looks good except the white, instead of building up from grey and highlight white, they probably primed white and dirty it up.

They look really good and cheap! I do commissions but couldn't come close to those prices, I assume the model cost isn't included, at least I hope it's not .

Yeah the prices don't include the models, but they do have the option for them to arrange to buy the models for you (for the cost of the models, of course ) I'll be sending some 3d printed models.

I’m glad you posted this as I was wondering how popular these services are. I’m only in it for the painting really so wouldn’t use one but I follow swipe studios on insta and have seen that they are recruiting due to an expanding business and I was impressed as that must mean these services are popular. Sadly I’ll never be good enough to offer such as service.

They are the only Uk based company I have seen but their minis all look great. Let us know how you get on

So I contacted Siege Studios, and they said they can't accept the 3D printed model.
I've narrowed it down to either TopMiniatures Level 3 ($97), Level 4 ($135) or Den of Imagination Level 5 ($205). Which do you think would be the best value?

You mean they don’t have a 3D printer? Or they only want to work in commercially manufactured models?

They said specifically that the particular 3D printed model I wanted painted, they couldn't paint. I have the model printed already.

You can't go wrong with either, it's just a matter of who you prefer.
The one thing I'd add is when you get in with a painting service, you tend to go back to them. Think about who you like the most.
I would also take a look at Studio Jolly Roger. Have seen 2 armies from them up close and thought the results were outstanding.
