Well, here they are. Happy Valentine's Day, and gain +1 population.

Shading on some of it is amazing, can I just ask why the slightly strange highlights on the bare legs and why so much green in exactly the same shade, I understand it’s a team colour but looks a bit odd that the Pom poms match the bag and jacket exactly.

The matching green really is because it is the team color and all of these items are labeled as if they were produced for the school and would all have been made to match specifically.

Making them mismatched would make it look like they had raided their closet to grab anything green so that they could wear them to the game (which would make them look more like attending fans rather than player and cheerleader).

But as a general rule, I do not believe in the myth that no two objects on a miniature can ever match in color, since obviously people in real life can get clothing that matches.

I understand the team colour thing but different materials don’t generally appear the same colour because of the way they reflect light. Especially the Pom poms which would be plastic, they would look so much more realistic with a metallic sheen, even if it mean’t a high gloss varnish.

I suppose I could have highlighted the pom poms sharper (to be fair, they're sculpted round, so I felt they seemed more like old school cloth pom poms).

I've been surprised at how often that minis painting advice does not hold true in reality, and morover how extremely discouraged it is in fashion and costume design.
