I have a few classic attack bikes I plan to build to take advantage of the new multimelta. Are they on round bases these days? What comes in the latest box? Thanks!

According to this, it looks like they're baseless.

They've always been baseless.
Bases have always been for miniature stability, any gameplay relevance is secondary.

Yeah, a lot of people put them on 60mm round bases for consistency, but I don't think they've ever actually come with one.

<EDIT
; Was thinking bikes>
Strange, the ones I recently bought off e-bay had bases - though they had been already assembled.

Regular bikes come with the pill-shaped 'bike base'. About the same size as GW's old cavalry bases, but with rounded ends. Older bikes came, at various times, either with no base or with the cavalry base.

Thanks... that's a bit of a surprise, but workable. I was going to make them modular with magnetized side cars. Maybe I'll just do the bikes on bike bases and the side cars on 32mm infantry round bases to make the heights match. Thanks for the help!

The ones from the Conquest partwork came with 75x42mm ovals.
The pillbox bases are 75x25. The old rectangular cavalry bases are 50x25mm.
