Ok perhaps no turnips, but the rest is true!

Battle Valor http://www.battlevalorgames.com
Is a one man band making an extensive range of fantasy battle armies in 15mm scale, there's also a limited 15mm sci fi range and he secured the rights and moulds for a bunch of 28mm "pulp" era models too.

This Kickstarter is primarily focused around the rest of the army on the march, rather than troops or cavalry its focused on waggons, camp followers, cooks, smiths, supplies, encampments, fences, barriers, spikes and all the things that allow an army to get on the march and take all it needs with them as well as to encamp at the other end. This sets the scene for allowing you to do a whole number of fantastic setups for battle; form attacking moving columns, raiding encampments to fill on camp vs camp battles and such.

However alongside that he's also releasing light chariots (medium and heavy are completed and released as part of his 2nd kickstarter) for every single race with their own riders and pulling beasts (depending on faction).

Those who follow the line already know that there are two previous KS which are still delivering sculpts and might be worried about a 3rd one; however all the moulds are DONE. Every single model in this is already sculpted and the mould made up, this KS is purely about generating income needed to put them into production and get the metal flowing.

A second big bonus is that through the pledge manager (After the KS campaign) you gain access, with discount, to the entire current BV range of models on sale. Yep everything! If you're in the UK (or basically outside of the USA) this is a great way to get a whole bunch of models with discount and cheaper shipping/importing costs. It's a fantastic way to get a huge chunk of metal and get things rolling.
Note that his delivery date is an estimation and that basically as soon as he's got your pledge manager filled in that's when he'll start production, so chances are this will deliver much earlier than the estimated date

pictures!
Spoiler:

Wovian Camp

Chariots

Legian Camp

For those who have followed him for a while you'll know he's made steady progress on the previous two kickstarters he's run and has shipped out a lot of orders for them on what is sculpted. Yes there is still material to sculpt for them, but its coming out at a steady rate (I maintained a thread on it for a while but got lax in updating it).

This looks amazing and if I played/collected 15mm I would certainly have gone for it. You never have enough camp followers and the like. But alas, it's not my scale.

There's always a good time to start something new There's army packs for each race on the main BV website and with some discount on the core prices through the KS you'd be able to get a nice start to an army even if you didn't get any fancy waggons

Also confirmed in marketing email the discount for the whole range is 40%! That is when you get your PM that's how much is off on the entire range of currently produced models from BV. There's also a bunch of halfling models which have been released over the course of the KS and are now part of it. They come in various forms from wielding bows to spears on fox mounts.

Spoiler:

Chariots are also being sold in "Squadrons" for this KS at $32 for 1 heavy, 1 medium and 1 light chariot and are availiable for all races.
