would you agree as a casual player that this is hard to keep up with?
i depend on the age of sigmar app a lot... maybe i just havent given it a chance to update?

Yes there was talk baout this on the Honest Wargamer how
GW is doing a disservice to customers outside tournament players who are struggling to know. The example was a guy who got back into the game after 20 years bought the older
LRL book, showed up and the opponent said "oh you could have just bought BR Teclis and possibly this other book".
Those 3 books were released within 1 year (covid argument aside) which for a casual player is the dumbest thing imaginable.
If someone starts really laying it on in casual (which is anything outside a tournament for prizes, c'mon get real, your pick up game Friday night isn't mission critical) about trying to learn and get into this game they should consider rethinking their life.
The Azyr app is a dud.
GW makes terrible apps and is terrible in the digital world. Don't expect it to be updated in time. But if it is then by all means use an update to date version.
TL;DR: as veteran gamers be kind bringing people into the fold, show them where and how they can get new rules and don't freak out if they have older stuff, just relax it's a game.
