Has anyone made a fortified gate for the Aegis defence line or are there any suitable models available have looked but cant find any? TIA

I have that kit. It only comes with lines and the turret kit.

The aegis defense line is a glorified sandbag chest-high wall. There's no point in adding a gate to it, it would be really overbuilt compared to the rest of the model.

In practical use, what you would have is a traffic-control bar, and/or other obstacles meant to keep vehicles from going through a checkpoint at speed. Infantry could just hop the wall anyway.

Were you maybe talking about the wall of martyrs? I think one of those pieces is called the "imperial defense line." No gate pieces for those either, though at least they would be more fitting for the scale.

Thanks I've seen a control bar used before just thought something a bit more solid would have been appropriate just go with that then

Unless GW has reworded it, I don't think you can legally do what you want to do.

If what you are trying to do is have <defense line section> <gate><remaining defense line>
You can not legally do this, all parts of the agis defense Elaine must be touching each other, same for the gun emplacement.

Unless GW has since FAQed this.

To many unpainted models to count.

Gotcha
Well! In that case, you could probably make one. Use this as an opertuniry to try your hand at modeling and building. If you got an old spare rhino, you would either use the back door, or you could use the top doors, and make a little holder for them. Drill some holes so that you can slot in the door and it can swing up and down.

Should be pretty easy to make.

If you want your aegis line to look like a mobile defense line, I'd use some sort of barricade that troops could lift and move to let traffic pass. X-shaped pieces with a bar running through their centers, for instance.

If it's depicting a more permanent structure, you could make something that looks like it sinks into the ground, or hinges down to lie flat and let stuff drive over it. Vertical barricade sections with hazard tape around them, that kind of thing.

And/Or Add a 1 person guard shack for the guy checking ID to stand in.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

You could make that outta one of the guard fast attack walkers.
