Ok gang, I need some conversion ideas. I'm going to buy a box of Harlequins and make them into classic Power Rangers.
Any thoughts on what weapons to give each Ranger? Obviously the Troupe leader will be the Green Ranger with sword.

Also, do you think they would look good with Guardian helmets? I might be able to cut out the lower part of the helmet and replace it with the lower part of the Harlie masks. So it'll have that silver lip plate thing going on.
Or I could leave the Guardian face as-is, just round off the top of the head a bit.

I personally think these kinds of wacky conversions look best if you don't go TOO far away from the base model. So I doubt I'll try giving their helmets the dino aesthetics. This will mostly be a paint job to sell the look.

Yes for the most part the Rangers just kick and punch, but they do all have weapons they use from time to time.
Red Ranger has a sword, Pink a bow, Black an axe, Blue a double trident staff thing, Yellow has sais and Green has...a flute knife.

So to match up with Harlequin weapons, I was thinking this:
Red & Green get swords. Simple
Yellow would get the Caress (it's a claw thing and Yellow is a Sabertooth tiger)
Blue would get a Hellion glaive (have some in my bits box)
Black gets a Wraith axe (again from bits box)
Pink would have to get a modified pistol that has now arms

I think that would do them justice

Original series weapons were
Black ranger had an axe that was also a laser canon! Clearly the best one!
Red ranger had a sword
Yellow ranger had twin daggers
Pink ranger had bow and arrows
Blue ranger had a spiky staff

The axe and sword were big clunky things so space marine power weapons might form the basis of those in the more slender hands of the harlies. The spiky staff and daggers are a bit more dark Eldar or chaos but the bow, I don’t know. Does anyone do a silly future laser bow?

For the axe, the Wraithguard Axe is pretty chunky compared to the lithe Harlies, so I think it would fit. Although I'm thinking a High Elf axe might look better.
First and foremost I like to stick with GW parts, and if I can stay in the same faction, it's even better.

For the laser bow, I'm just gonna do the same as I did with my Master Splinter Marine, but instead of using a Bolter, I'll use the Harlie Neuro disruptor, which kinda looks like it has an arrowhead already:

For ze Pink bow, perhaps a crossbow pistol from inquisitor?

Nerf has nifty pistol style "bows" for inspiration.
