I think GW is coming out with some awesome models to convert of late.

Such a great looking model. I converted mine to my Deathwatch (of course). Simple conversion, because I love the pose and detail on armour (just changed head to a DW helmeted one, changed a shoulder pad and for the backpack just magnetised his back so can do whatever want, jump pack/normal/HH era etc). Looks so sweet, painting one axe with a purple glow and the other with a green (wargear for game atm probably a master crafted xenophase and the teeth of terror, 2 relics from warlord traits).

I am happy that this guy is only slightly smaller than my other DW marines, probably cause a little hunched.

I ordered multiple of these. 1 I will do as eldar the other I am totally going to convert him to a Chaplain and the other still deciding (I can't wait for my order for this one).

I am especially happy with the Horus Heresy stuff coming out in plastic. Hopefully they do a lot more.

What models have you been excited about of late or have had that conversion itch take hold as soon as you see them (from any model maker, please link) or what conversions are you excited about doing?

You can go attachments, browse and add image from your folders.
Or upload in mass via Upload button from the Gallery section. Putting in names and tags is a bit of a hassle though.

Been a couple months now, but I really like some of the special characters for the Soulblight Gravelords in AoS.
I don't even like Space Wolves all that much, but I've been tempted to make a conversion from Radukar the Wolf or maybe even Belladamma Volga.

Just make sure to use the "Reply" button instead of "Quick Reply", otherwise it won't give you that menu on the bottom.

Been super excited about the STL release by Puppetswar on the biker models... I'm gonna try and enter one in the new dakka painting challenge. They have such sick models and ready to convert some babies with them.

I had a look at puppetswar stuff but idk? Wargame exclusive do similar but more awesome? Maybe I didn't see what talking about?

Tbh from my perspective I hated the look of these models... However, if you can see a spark of imagination (best conversions come from) and convert them to something awesome I would love to see it!!! (post in the completed model section if you do).

Here are my test photos.

I haven't started painting yet (fingers crossed have time when work eases off soon).
One of the most basic conversions I have done, but looks good I think. A little clean up work to do around the base and a few lines need a little more shaving, I might add a DW symbol to the knee pad as well (I love the pose so didn't want/need to change to much). I just got my Maugan Ras, so in a few weeks when have some time off I will do them up...I can't wait.

Suggestions/criticisms etc please

EDIT: When magnetising, I drill a hole for the magnet and glue it in etc, then I put a thin layer of green stuff around the outside (to bulk how I want the item to land (in this case backpacks) to secure it a bit more, I then put a thin layer of super glue over the green stuff (hence it is shiny and then it won't move or change shape/suck in etc when cures). When I paint it, after normal painting and sealing, I will double seal the magnet area.

EDIT: I am not sure why the photos are on their side? Help. (if click is normal facing, but how do I make them correct alignment when just scrolling?)
