I'd appreciate something dealing with Hora Loux and the Badlands. He's mentioned in the opening, but by the time he actually shows up in-game we've completely forgotten who that is and it's just kind of weird and wtf.

I went back after the boss fight, but failed to notice that. oO
Spoiler:
I was more focused on killing her knight.

Spoiler:
He's Godfrey, the First Elden Lord, who was also the first Tarnished. IMO, he's been gone since his banishment and returned along with the other Tarnished. He might act when he does because he finally got there or because the PC-Tarnished has gotten within reach of Radagon/Marika and he won't allow it.
There's an item description that his name was originally Horoah Loux, but he took the nobler name "Godrey" upon his ascension along with his spirit limiter lion to control his bloodlust. He kills it off to go full power...yeah...it's probably the most anime moment in the game.

Oh I know that. I'm saying there was basically no context for that reveal and by the time he actually appeared I doubt most people even remembering the opening since he never appears before that.

Instead of 'oh gak' the reaction is 'who the feth is that and why does it matter to me?'

Spoiler:
To be clear, who Godfrey is isn't weird. That Godfrey is Hora Loux is wtf because by the time it happens I'm like 'who the feth is Hora Loux and why should that name matter while you're making a big deal out of it?

In other news, I'm doing New Game Plus and few things are as satisfying as steam rolling the early game because I am the boss now!

It's mentioned in several places including Nepheli Loux's story. When/if she ascends to lord of Storm veil that noble bitch guy from the fort talks about her being from the divine bloodline and such as well.

To be fair, that quest chain was broken until the patch.

I've cleared Morgutt in my new game and went to Mountaintops to snag the Bell-Bearing. Running pure STR now with just enough Faith/Arcane for Rotten Breath. Flamberge is the best looking sword in the game IMO, I prefer more realistic designs over the massive fantastical weapons. With +18/+16 powerstancing greatswords I'm doing over 1k on jump attacks RN, but that's with the jump attack armor and talisman.

Bloodhound's Step is also amazing, but it's kind of annoying that it's practically hidden. You could rush it and cheese the Night Cavalry with Rotten Breath really quickly, but that requires quides or having played before. It's far more fun to use that to set up attacks then cheese with Hoarfrost TBH. Did Sellen's questline to get the Eccentric Armor set and fought the Putrid Crystallian trio for the first time. I one shot them, but I'm overleveled and it was still rough since I didn't prep for Scarlet Rot. Lots of bloodstains in that room.

Also doing the Rya questline so I think the next step is to get that near the end point and then do the rest of the Volcano Manor quests.

So I found the staff that has INT and FAI calling on it, which makes we want to go all in on int and faith and just see how hard it can nuke XD

A couple things of note.
I think Siofra, the lower section is entirely skippable unless you want the Ancestor Spirit Ashes. I don't see reason to get the Dragon Halberd, you can get Spinning Slash elsewhere.
The section unlocked after Radahn is actually required for Ranni/Fia and has better items (Mimic Tear, Remembrance Talisman to restore FP).
Strangely enough you can
Spoiler:
Fight Fia's Champions before even speaking to her.

Also, if you want to kill the Crucible Knights down there easily
Spoiler:
You can bait them to use their winged attack off the ledges. It's easier with the first one since you can wittle him down to 50% from afar.

Well, I am heading back to the fire giant on NG+ heading towards my second ending. Then one more mad dash play through where I will only be stopping to get the Mending Rune of Perfect Order for my final achievement and I will have 100% the game.

I've finally reached Leyndell, and, as with everywhere else, I'm getting my butt kicked.
My current build is using sorceries and the Sword of Night and Flame (which I've got up to +10). Still using the meteoric staff for sorceries. Farming that stupid bird right now to level up my intelligence to 60 to use the Carian Regal staff.

Okay so the smallest but most cool thing happened to me. I’ve been hanging out in Caelid. I found the dragon cathedral and has been on a dragon killing rampage. After eating a bunch of hearts... my eyes changed! They became yellow and a little glowy. I thought it was so cool. Also has some interesting lore implications. The frenzied flame has the same yellow hue and is shot from the eyes. So maybe the flame originated from dragons? I don’t know but I love the small detail. Maybe this stuff is common knowledge but I havn’t looked up any guides at all. So every discovery is quite a wonder. Going to look at guides once I’ve progressed further.

I ran into my third major issue with Elden ring. It’s concerning field bosses. Fighting all this dragons I’ve frequently have them follow me pretty far. Only to see them disappear and respawn at their starting locations. I find it silly and immersion breaking. A freaking dragon should be able to follow you far. The space they can exist in seems quite limited. Also one minor dragon boss guarding a bridge committed suicide. He flew up and landed on a tree. Which looked really cool. Then he got stuck in an animation and just died. On top of the tree. I just laughed. Really enjoying the game but I wish there was bigger areas the field bosses would fight you in, or at the very least run back by themselves instead of de/respawn. I see the gameplay issues with Afro ranges but there’s got to be a better solution then this.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

Nah, I just suck at these kinds of games that demand player skill. I did watch a few videos about the sword post-nerf (I had just picked it up before they patched it), and it is still good, just not stupidly OP good.

Hoarfrost got nerfed too but honestly I think it's still OP. Easiest and fastest way to inflict frostbite onto enemies by far and a good way to stagger someone to open them up for attack.

Curb stomping in the Eye of Terror!

After nearly 60 hours of play, I finally went up to Redon and beat him the first time.

FromSoftware must have nerfed him in patch 1.03 as I just summoned everyone and dodged his ranged attacks. All of us just ganked him before he unleashed hell...

o.O

Although, I'm probably over-leveled at this point (at lvl 92).

Both do change your eyes but differently. The dragon one develops the slit pupils. The Frenzied flame, you almost don't have eyes. Just glowing yellow points of light.

I don't understand the whole radhan is difficult.... It took me less tries to kill Radan than it did to kill the first catacomb shade boss or godrick

You get to just horse around and summon helpers.. Ya know ?

Bastard sword +20 is best weapon in game. Ya heard it here first..

Pre-nerf summoning for Radahn is a massive trap. With so many bodies it makes him almost impossible to read and you get constantly caught in the crossfire when you get in close.

It's actually considerably easier to solo him.

???
I killed him twice in three total tries pre-nerf and summoned both times.
I honestly don't understand how people died to that fight unless they refused to level vigor and got one shot by his arrows.

Ain't nothing cheesy about it.

You can summon friends.

When you don't summon friends you have spirit ashes.

Whether it was my Mimic or a Jellyfish or whatever, the very mechanic of summoning isn't cheese.

I didn't "cheese" Horah Loux because I summoned other players to assist.

Regulation file update 1.03.3 for #ELDENRING is available now: it fixes a bug in the balance adjustment of the boss "Starscourge Radahn" in update 1.03, in which the power of some attacks was unintentionally reduced.
Details:

So that explains why Radahn wasn't so bad when I fought him post 1.03.

He's now tougher.

Really? I just fought him and found him ridiculously easy. I kind of regret summoning for him because it’d be a way more fun fight 1v1 I think. Maybe I’m over leveled though. Got level 78 when I fought him. Took two tries but only because I didn’t see his big fire thing comming the first time.

Well, after realizing I was barely using the Sword of Night and Flame anymore, I've switched to full mage, with a staff in each hand. Carian Regal Scepter most of the time. And then using the Carian Glintstone Staff and Staff of Loss in the other hand, swapping between the two if I'm using sword sorceries for close work or Night Comet for ranged. I swap out the Scepter for Lusat's staff when it's time to just nuke bosses.

And speaking of nuking bosses, I basically melted Niall in Castle Sol in seconds. I didn't even realize I was fighting him. I thought it was a mid-boss in the castle and that I hadn't reached Niall yet. I popped the magic buff spell and the magic buff potion, summoned my Black Knife Tiche, threw out Ranni's Dark Moon, and laid in with Comet Azur. Cleared it all before my 15 seconds of free casting was up.

And then I proceeded to get my ass kicked by random mobs in the snowfields. Yeah, I think I probably just got lucky with Niall.
