Ancient Venerable Dark Angels Dreadnought

What is the interaction of "Starting Strength" in relation to drones and Guardian weapon platforms ignoring it and Blast Weapons. What is the intent of ignoring the rule (I understand being under Half Strength)?

There is no interaction with Blast.
These models count as models for most purposes, but don’t impact on Morale or Combat Attrition tests if they are destroyed.

So if you have ten Guardians and a platform there are 11 models for purposes of Blast.
For Morale and Combat Attrition you count it as a 10-man unit not 11.
