Found and resurrected all my old Citadel paint sets from the 80's - they've been mouldering in various sheds and barns for the last 30+ years, so sadly the boxes are toast but most of the paints are still good to go with a little water and a lot of stirring. I've been able to add the old Colour, Creature, Monster and Expert paint sets to their modern equivalents on my workbench, plus a bunch of hex-pots from the 90's. So far, only the Chaos Black is beyond salvage - it appears to have fermented and exploded over all the other pots...

Thought I'd celebrate by painting one of the mini's I found with the paints - Aenur, Sword of Twilight...and old Mordheim mini. Tried to capture the 90's vibe by flocking the base and painting it Goblin Green.

Looks great! Is that a 20mm or a 25mm square base?

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?
When the history of my glory is written, your species shall only be a footnote to my magnificence.

Thank you!

It's a 25mm base. Only square slotabase I could find, and sadly it was broken. You can just make out the crack in one of the sides where I had to glue it.

Really nice work and nice to hear about someone else in my situation. Also just got back into painting and working on a load of stuff from 30 years back that my parents still had in the attic. I didn’t have the old paints though. Amazing they still work. Really like this miniature. Especially the detail on the inside of the cloak.

Intense green cape fits quite nicely with the base!
