I recently bought a white scars army off a friend and had some questions, I haven't played since 6th edition.

It contains all pre Primaris models, so Tactical Squads, bikers, assault marines, etc.

I don't have the codex yet but I noticed on Battlescribe the old school marine units are still there alongside the Primaris choices.

Are these old models "going away?" Do people just use them as Primaris models? Are the base sizes the same between the old squads and the new primaris models? What about bike squads->outriders?

Also it has a bike command squad (banner, apothecary, all veterans with lightning claws) but I cannot find an entry for a command squad on bike...does it have another name now? Or is this no longer something you can field? I am using the White Scars codex in a battalion detachment.

And finally there is a Librarian on Bike entry but it has (Legends) next to it. Are they not legal in normal games?

Legends are generally legal, but are not getting rules updates. It tends to be stuff without current models. Legends site & Marine PDF.

Command Squads have been split up - the banner/Ancient & Apothecary are separate entries now. If they're on bike they're Legends.

So it sounds like the command squad is just not able to be fielded then? Outside of the Banner/Captain/Apothecary the rest of the models are regular bikers with dual lightning claws.

I can't find any selections for veterans on bikes either.

Legends are still legal in Matched play, they just might not be allowed at tournaments.

They're Company Veterans now - p.12 of the Legends PDF is for them on bikes.
