A major problem that the Flesh Tearers face is that their gene seed has been degrading over the millennia, forcing them to have to rely on more and more recruits. Though Primaris have given them reinforcements, without their gene seed being stabilized, that ultimately won't matter. As to the Flesh Eaters, the also have bad gene seed, per their ravenous desire to eat people. Has there been any fluff dealing with this problem?

Still kicking, however, the revelations of the geneseed used with Primaris indicates that not only do the various flaws still present, but they also end up acting stronger as they come from a purer source of their Primarch's genetic material. So it doesn't really matter if the Flesh Tearers get a quick boost of inductees because the new geneseed is even more volatile than their original stick.

If they’re greyshields then it’s presumably OG Blood Angel flaws rather than Flesh Tearer specific flaw no? So it might help stabilise them somewhat.

If they’re new inductees or rubicon then they’d be standard FT gene seed anyway.

It's not a straightforward situation. The Flesh Tearers' flaw is that they fall to the Black Rage more often than other sons of Sanguinius, yet the Rage isn't a biological trait but rather a psychic remnant of Sanguinius' death imprinted on the genetics of the Blood Angel's geneseed. The Chapter also doesn't actively take steps to prevent the Rage from surfacing. They don't practice Insaguination to help purge the Rage and embrace it as a form of fatalistic peace of mind. They know they will die so why not die in glorious battle, destroying as many enemies as they can in the process.
But the Flaws of the Blood Angels are very much present in the Primaris Astartes, and as with the Curse of the Wulfen the changes made by Cawl seemingly enhance rather than suppress the genetic instabilities, at least when the Primaris actually acclimatise to their parent Chapter rather than Guilliman's doctrines.
