Hi!
Soon I will take part in a 40k campagin for new players. We will start with 500 points and build up in increments of 250 points each campagin round.
We are not allowed to change or remove anything from our army list only add stuff each increment.
There will be about a dozen players each playing a different faction so far. So there will be a huge diversity in what I will be facing.
I'm new to 40K and Necrons. So far I got & build the models from the Indomitus box.
So where to start with and where to go?
After reading some blog post & watching some YouTube I came up with the following list for 500p:

The Chronomancer should help with his buff and use the Veil to give me some mobility.
Two units of Warriors to grab objectives.
The Destroyers could deliver some punch in melee
The Scarabs for objectives and to just be annoying
This list should also be a good base to build up upon.
Ideas:
* Exchange Chronomancer with an Overlord (for 'My will be done', Orb & Command Protocols), a Warden (for fall back & shoot option) or a Technomancer (can reanimate a Skorpehk now)
* Run one blob of 20x Warriors w/ Gauss Reapers to make better use of the Veil and the buff of the Chronomancer
* Give the Reanimator a try in combination one 20x Warrior blob
Next increments could be:
* Another HQ choice (as mentioned above)
* Ghost Ark for fire support & regen
* Heavy Destroyers for more firepower
* Immortals
* Flyed Ones
* More Skorpekhs for more melee punch
* More Warriors (why not?)
