Reading thru the rulebook there is some questions that appear.

- As the unit limitations is set per 1000p, has a defualt point force been established yet in the wild?. As 1000p is the smallest i assume that is the bracket one use to learn to play the game?

- i cant seem to find info about how many physical models(cannons+crew) there is in a single infantry or horse artillery battery. Same for skrimishinf units, i cant find info about how many models per strip.

- Has warlord made a quick referance sheet for the sequence of the game? a quick google search yielded no results, and there is none included in the starter box.

- i am trying to determin the gameplay difference between non special rule, non scenario british vs french.
Am i correct in my understandings of the rules if i say that the british are the easiest to learn the game with, and their strenght is shooting, survivability(stamina) plus cqc, but flee easily. For the french, they prefer agressive gameplay as their strenght is the morale and a better chanse for orders to be successfull.

Finaly i am a historical dimwith, it is my first time toutching anything historical that aint WW2, i cant identify the models on the sprues, is there a guide somwhere for that? i have the french starter box.

I would recommend either the warlord forums https://www.warlordgames.com/community/forum/historical/black-powder/
Or the miniature's page forum (TMP) http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/boards.mv?period=nap as likely to have more Epic Waterloo players
(personally for me I dislike the unique scale)

The Warlord forum link worked for me

Epic is basically the standard Black Powder rules. The only difference is the size of the figures. Units are still built out of bases, which occupy a certain footprint on the table. The important thing isn't how many figures are on the base. The important thing is how wide the base is. The reason for that is because a unit doesn't have casualties removed from the base. Instead, the base suffers from loss of cohesion as it continues in the battle. Because Black Powder works this way, each infantry base is composed of two plastic strips of ten men each. The fact that they're ranked on strips means that the men can be packed in much tighter ranks than would be the case with individual figures. The base sizes are the same size as found in the non-Epic version of the game. Again, the only real difference is the size of the figures.

If you want information on the recommended non-line infantry bases, I suggest you go to the Warlord store and check the pictures of the non-line infantry figures that are available for sale.

A standard game point size is really going to depend on what you and your group feel comfortable doing. Due to the real world sizes of the units represented in Black Powder, most games will only represent a small portion of a real battle. It really comes down to the troops your group has, and the amount of table space available.
