Hi all. Im currently running 2 armies. One space marine force with 3 vanguard squads 2 librarians 2 dev squads some terminators and ancient and a primaris lieutenant and vindicare and redemptor.
Im puting this list against different connotations of chaos marines and im finding i have such a lot of target saturation that i cant kill all the space marine army before the chaos marines are overrun or outshot.
So far ive tried possessed (good in cc but even with 3 wounds awfullu vulnerablle to shooting) warp talons (same) terminators (good but still best in cc) noise marines (awesome shooting but die easily)

What units can kill marines AND keep going in next turn against fire

You're looking for how to beat loyalist space marines with Chaos, yes? Thats what I understood from your post, so if that's not what you meant you can correct me.

Well, Loyalist lists can vary a lot by chapter. What you need to kill Dark Angels is probably different than how you'd handle Ultramarines. But I'll just assume a really generic space marine force from your opponent.

CSM and Loyalists are theoretically about equally durable, so if you're getting outshot or out close combatted by a large degree than something odd is happening.

But ok, to try to answer the question. Damage 2 and damage 3 weaponry are important against loyalist marines. Your characters are probably your best bet here. Lord Discordant is really strong, and so is the Demon Prince. You might also include a Master of Possession for a durability boost to your own side as well. Another option that is definitely worth looking at is the Master of Executions.

Chosen and Terminators can both be really killy and really durable, especially if you are layering buffs on them.

Legionaires with Mark of Nurgle can be a hard unit to kill as well. They're not quite as destructive as other units, but they are troops and can be tough to kick off an objective.

I'd say you probably just need to look into what defensive buffs are available to you and make sure you are casting them on your units you want to survive the most.

If you still have questions give me a more complete run down on your army and your opponents army also and I will try to say more.

You are looking for high volume of fire D2 weapons.

I do not know the chaos codex that well but there should be something. Volcite dreadnoughts come to mind.
