Hello and good day everyone!

I am looking for a couple suggestions on a model/kit to pick up.

With the World Eaters codex coming out in the near future. I am looking to get them started. I currently own nothing for chaos. However, not entirely sure what they will have in that codex or available in general from the C:SM codex. So looking to for a safe buy on a kit that won't be updated for them. Obviously a Rhino is a super easy/safe choice but was hoping for something a little more unique than that.

Pretty sure rumors mention them getting Angron(Confirmed), Berserkers, Terminators, Khornegors, Juggernaught. I also know of a 40k Daemon Prince(Confirmed). Juggernaughts are like 100% why I want to do World Eaters. Even though it mentioned them being like a single model unit/character instead multi model unit. They have been my favorite model for years aesthetically.

I guess the only safe bets are the boring ones - rhino, predator, hellbrute, landraider, chaos spawn and cultists.

Everything else is just gambling whether it will be in the codex or not.

Berzerkers in rhinos are likely to be thing though, so I'd get some of those plus a fully magnetized hellbrute probably.

Snag it now before all the other new WE players drive it into Sold Out status.

Get Berzerkers, or get Rhinos, Jid? It looked like the images we've seen so far indicated new Berzerkers, didn't it?

by now, nothing
while we now some things, the good stuff can still be different and new models are coming as well
even suggesting buying 2 Rhinos might end up with both of them on the shelf for unknown reason

if you really want a new WE Army, wait for the Codex and the new releases

Rhinos are probably safe, especially the 30k Deimos ones if you don't mind a lack of spikes. Similarly with Predators, Land Raiders, Spawn, maybe Defilers.

It'd be a surprise if Maulerfiends don't make it in, but Death Guard don't get them (TS did) to maybe don't make a bet on it.

I'd avoid any infantry.

World Eaters is my primary Chaos Army, they are a lot of fun. Avoid Berzerkers for now since they most certainly will be refreshed, the current models are small little guys. If I were you I'd consider picking up a Chaos Lord or Exalted Champion, find a model you like and go with it; there will likely be a new model for a lord if you're willing to wait for a box set though. Rhinos are always a good choice. If you like mechanized consider the Blood Slaughterers from Forge World. They're my favorite looking models in my army.

Kharn should also be a "safe" buy right? The model doesn't seem very old.

Should be, but not definitely. I thought that about Llillith (the DE duellist) as well, but.. hey, that's all they got. Kharn is less likely because they're redoing berserkers and doing other new stuff... but never count GW out of bad ideas.

Kharn is plastic and only came out a few years ago, the old Lelith model was a lot older and resin. I'd be very surprised if they replaced Kharn already.

Yeah I believe the same.

Only reason I think of a possible remake is if the Berserkers end up larger than Kharn.

Good point, I have the older metal Kharn but if the Berzerker refresh makes them the same size as Primaris / Deathguard we may get another Kharn as well.

Does anyone happen to have a Kharn-related scale picture to hand - using models, not a composite of images from the GW store - so we can get an idea of if an embiggening is needed?

Ideally, I'd be thinking something like:
- OG Kharn (for reference)
- Berserkers
- nu-Kharn
- Latest CSM
- 8th ed Plague Marines
- Anything-else-you-think-is-relevant

I will note that the pose of the current Kharn sculpt may disguise scale issues, given how much forward lean seems to be going on - it has to affect how tall he is.
