Now we are in the endgame I am quite curious about how things will end for Keeler. Obviously she’s back with Loken so things have come full circle. So there’s a lot of pathos and I am hoping Dan Abnett does something suitably impactful. Couple theories I have are:

1) Keeler has an instrumental role in founding the Ecclesiarchy. Seems to be what she’s doing although she’s not meant to be preaching and it’s not super clear if Guilliman or Dorn will be okay with her doing that. Old lore has the Church founded by a Guardsman. Maybe they’ll tweak some things.

2) They have it where Keeler is exiled to a remote world which turns out to be San Leor. Which the reader can then assume she had a hand in founding the Sisters of Battle. Black Library isn’t above doing stuff like that such as in Beast Arises where Ullanor is Armageddon. Not to mention the Grey Knights.

3) She’s called the First Saint. We’re at the Siege of Terra. Perhaps Dan wants her to go full super saiyan mode like Saint Sabbat; another of Dans characters. That could also leave the door open to her being alive in 40k.

4) She meets the God Emperor on the Golden Throne. Much like the story of the Sisters of Battle being brought before him and we get a re-run of the Last Church but she does what Lorgar could not and convinced the Emperor that he IS a God and that humanity needs him to be one.

5) There’s some crazy Dan Abnett verse reveal. Like she’s literally the Emperors Daughter and that’s why all these abilities are manifesting about her. The Emperor could manifest his abilities via Guilliman for example so why not a blood relative? Perhaps the Emperor wanted his Primarches to be sons because he can only have Daughters naturally.

6) Loken is unable to save Euphrati as the souls of the faithful are used to power up the Golden Throne. Keeler is sacrificed so that the God Emperor can “ascend”.

7) The Warmaster did try to have her killed. So perhaps she has some role on the Vengeful Spirit with Loken.

8) Keeler dies and either

a) Proves the Emperor is a God as her soul is saved.

b) Her soul is horrifically devoured by Daemons because there is no hope in the Grimdark.

I feel like she’s a good vehicle for the core cast of the first novel to have an impact on the wider story of the Imperium. So I am hoping it’s something suitably epic.

Friends maybe but Loken has had his fill of the warp and talk of gods.

Supressing his own latent ability is probably hastening his ascension as a puritanical witchfinder. Along with all that he has seen of the warp and the madness it has wrought.

Keeler doesn't matter anymore. Belief in the Emperor as god is out of the bag and will help/hinder the imperium for all time after.

That would be boring IMO. Sindermen has that and it wouldn’t be a twist as we know that’s the case already.

Again that just feels boring. If it’s out the bag, which it is, then killing her has no real meaning or consequence. It would simply be Loken rejecting something he’s not really that close to anyway. Loken main deal with Horus and Abaddon.

You say that, but Dan has to have something to say and some twists or reveals at the end of the story. Why bother dragging your original characters from the first novel to the conclusion just to off them unceremoniously because Loken don’t like this Emperor talk. To me that would just be anticlimactic.

She will use all he powers to help save RG when he’s injured by the anathema sword so he can go into stasis. This is after RG has tried to kill get for god worship of the emperor thus creating ANOTHER delicious irony

She's Moriana, and probably the first member of the Istvaanian Inquisition sect. If Sinderman is the puritan, she's the radical: if I had to guess, she discovered that the Emps is a perpetual and wanted to switch off the golden throne to get him off his lazy ass to resurrect, got exiled for it, joined up with Abadabbadoo because he's the only guy who can do the job for her.

I’d rather if she was a Living Saint since her whole deal is that she’s the first Imperial Saint. So it would make more sense if she goes the same path as Celestine.

I think I know the character they’re referring to from ADB Black Legion series. Issue is They should know eachother. Keeler isn’t a psyker. I also just can’t see ADB making such a key decision about the fate of one of Dans original Heresy characters.
