If you were to add $100 dollars worth of units to this army, what would best serve me moving forward toward building a working 9th ed list. I havent played since 7th, or at least for 5 years. I dont have a lot of disposable income, so looking at what i have listed below, can any of yall point me towards the best investment to make my list playable.

I was thinking of Terminators, Myphetic Blight Haulers, possible Leviathan Dread or Mortarion... But i am really interested in what you all think would be the best. Thanks in advance.

Probably 2 blight haulers and a unit of terminators. But that remains to be seen.

Any reason why death shrouds over regular terminators? Also... what about a second Rhino over the second squad of PM.

Try 1 Rhino first because they are expensive for what they do.
Units of 10 poxwalkers are good for objectives and that one stratagem. A unit of 20 is begging to be shot off the table vs being ignored.
If you have terminators use them, otherwise another viable build is all daemon engines (but not the defiler, it costs a lot).
For the points the plagueburst crawler is the most durable thing in the army.

I am trying to only spend 100$. Would you suggest 2x squads of terminators or a squad of deahtshrouds and a squad of termis? Another Plagueburst crawler and a plague surgeon?

traditionally you want 10 blightlords and 2 x3 deathshroud terminators. Unless used you are going to be hard pressed to get that for $100.

but 3 total plaguebursts, with 3 bloat drones, 2 princes, 1 epidemus (summoned from reinforcement points) and whatever else might be quite a bit of fun (at least til the demon codex comes out and ruins epidemus).

It’s already out.
He’s basically useless outside of Daemon lists… and not very useful in them either.

Good deal. I appreciate the advice. Do you magnetize at all? I most likely will myself since I like the versatility.

I am working on finishing painting on ALL of my current minis. I have about 6 left to complete and then I can head out and buy the final bling for my army. I feel like 10 Termis would be a good addition given what I have seen of the 9th ed rules for them.

I custom converted my metal 2nd edition chaos terminators into blightlords and/or deathshrouds. Nothing is magnetized I haven't yet made flails yet but when I was playing more I found that it didn't matter too much what you fielded in the unit vs where you placed it on the battlefield.

With Tau where what you put on your crisis suits makes a massive game difference, yes I magntized every single crisis suit, I also have 6 commanders with 4 fixed weapons as a lesson... always magnetize!
