I always find it hilarious. There is such a vast mismatch between the center of mass and the center of aerodynamic lift, it would NEED vertical jets under the main body to keep it from tumbling out of control.

From Sarna.net.

Aerodyne DropShips are shaped roughly similar to conventional aircraft, using their aerodynamic hull shape to generate lift within an atmosphere. This makes these DropShips ideally suited for atmospheric operations, at the expense of being more expensive and harder to produce than spheroid ships and with more restrictive size requirements. Many aerodynes also require runways to land and take off, limiting where they can operate. To facilitate atmospheric and deep space travel, most aerodynes are equipped with two sets of exhaust nozzles, one on the bottom and one on the rear. Aerodynes will use their bottom thrusters and transit drive during space operations, then switch over to after thrusters and maneuver drive when in an atmosphere. While taking up additional space, this alleviates the issue of internal orientation by allowing the vessel's nose and rear to remain "forward" and "aft" at all times.

While true, most aerodynes don't fire both the vertical AND main drives at the same time....

Just as a point of reference, this is me just trying to buy a single mini from Spain:

That's literally insane. Even with packaging, someone's time to put it in a box and paste a pre-printed label to it, AND shipping, it shouldn't be more than $25.

Plus, those minis fit in an envelope.

I've heard that its "an issue with the webshop" and you're supposed to email them and they'll manually fix the shipping costs for you.

It's been an issue for years, they're not going to fix the shop apparently.

This POST from Adepticon says it is being worked on.

They promised almost a year ago (I think it was last September I got the "we're working on it"), and apparently that wasn't the first time it was promised.

This isn't a new thing, It's another in a long line of promises that they've shown they don't consider a priority.

And you email them, and email them, and wait and wait and... nothing.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity.

They don't care, simple as. I only got digital products from their store, but at this point, if I happen across another $20 voucher, I might actually be stumped as to what to get, as I already got all the rulebooks and relevant record sheet publications.

That's functionally the same as "shut the feth up, as they don't seem to actually man that address"

When is the turrets forcepack coming out? I thought they were a mid-summer thing, but they're not appearing for preorder on the stores I shop at.

I haven't been keeping up with buying the post-kickstarter new releases, because I already have more than I'm likely to use. I did want the turrets though, since they are more terrain than roster unit.
