This tactic is to move terminators up to 15” in one turn.
Command phase.
1. DA with dark raider trait. casts Illusory supplication on Terminators. As long as terminators are within 6” of DA they receive benefit. Unmodified Hit rolls of 1-3 on terminators fail.

Movement phase.
1. DA Moves&advances 7-12”.

2. DP or Sorcerer moves. I prefer DP with wings and liber MoN to buff bikes with putrid also.

3. Terminators move 5”.

Psychic phase.
1. DP or Sorcerer casts warp time on Terminators.

2. Terminators move again 5” total 10” and within 6” of DA illusory and dark raider.

Shooting Phase
1. Terminators Unit shoot. Dark Raider activates terminators move again 5”. But need to stay within 6” of DA for Illusory.
2. If DA gets 3+ in advance roll, 9” move. Terminators can get 15” move and be within 6” of DA. Otherwise terminators Need to reduce their movement accordingly to be within the 6” DA illusory supplication. Worse case rolling 1” is 7” + 6” range effect of Illusory means terminators should reduce movement to 12-13”.

Terminators should be decked out with combi melta combi plasma reaper cannon and some power fists. Point is to move where you need turn 1 and shoot. Turn 2 can be shoot charge or advanced charge. There is more to the army. But this is about terminator tactics

It all sounds fine to me, I run BL myself so a DA is seldom a great HQ choice (comparatively to say an MoP) and I find the DP to be an underwhelming HQ choice…personally.

The only thing I can see happening if this all goes according to plan is POTENTIALLY leaving your DA outside of look out sir range from your terminators, which is less ideal. They’re somewhat squishy. Anyone running secondaries that aim to kill your characters / warlords will be licking their lips at the opening.

Red Corsairs really want to be pushing the enemy's home objectives so I'm not sure how useful advancing Terminators that fast really is for them. Usually you'll send your bikes and Possessed out to pressure the enemy, and any Terminators can move up more slowly in the centre to hold that. Speed isn't really required from them. Dark Raider is also usually best employed to allow units to pop out from behind Obscuring terrain, shhot, then disappear back behind it.

Both the DA and MoP are pretty much auto-includes for any competitive CSM army. Illusory Supplication is just far too good to pass up and either the Nurgle or Slaanesh prayers are also really good for the few situations where Illusory isn't necessary. As a BL player you get to tailor your Marks to whichever is most useful so you can plan for which Mark combination is best for your units and DA (hint: it's almost always Slaanesh).

You are right sir. However, if need be a group of cultists can be called up for 50 points to shield block. Or something else. But I do agree with the other guy about the DA. Supplication is just to good to pass up and to be honest, without it, the DA would be worse than the Sorcerer.

I’m going to dwell on this! I do run the MoP but the DP just hasnt generally produced for me. I run a lord discordant for his damage output, and because we have garbage secondaries I’m running a termie sorcerer to perform psychic interrogation, but I will give the dark apostle some further consideration.
