You are no newbie so I assume you know what you're doing, but just in case, you may want to magnetise your Tactical Support arms.
You sound like a performance-oriented player since you mentioned specifically fishing for status, and HH3.0 might only last for two more years, at which point there's no telling if status will still be relevant.
My view is always to magnetise if you want the crunch and glue if you are focused on fashion, since Heresy seems to now have tragically joined the 3 year edition treadmill.

Can’t be arsed to magnetise. I just buy ever more to provide the options
Flamers and Rotor Cannons are just weapons I don’t currently have. Status effects have made them differently desirable now, so now is the time.

I am the same! And that makes sense. Having everything also works.

Went with the Inductii squad.
Got to say, the MkIII kit is an improvement on the MkVI. The arm guidance peg and sockets are that little bit better defined.
Half the squad assembled. Will do the other half tomorrow I reckon, with a view to painting them over the weekend.

...Would you believe me if I had completely forgotten there are arm guidance pegs on these?
I always snip them off during initial parts cleanup and assembly, so my arm poses end up being fairly mixed (though I keep intended arm pairs together, still).

Oh easily.
They’re where the chest plate attaches to the sprue, so are easily damaged when clipping the part free, and when cleaning it up of flash.

I've just been looking at my 70 sprues of The Damned and at the mess of Libre Militia and being overwhelmed.

Wanna build some Custodes too?

Not quite the same challenge as I faced in 2024 when I painted all my Heresy toys? But I still recommend Just Making A Start. Once underway, it felt much less overwhelming.
Though with the Militia List being based on the old IA:13 List Of Hobby Gold? Definitely settle on what flavour of The Damned you want your army to be. High tech? Low tech? Somewhere in between? Smelly Hoomans, or Lovely Fluffy Abhumans?
Also maybe listening to The Damned will help. I particularly recommend Machine Gun Etiquette.

Oh I know what you meant. I just had gotten so used to removing them that I had forgotten they existed until I saw your post. They poof during clipping.
But I am the kind of person who almost never goes with the "inbuilt" pose for anything, even if only slightly deviating. I always want to tinker with things. Definitely split it up. I find I run into a roadblock if I try to do more than 10 models at once. Mix in other stuff if you at all can to make it less overwhelming.

Well, I couldn’t be bothered to cook, so ordered a fat old curry for me tea.
Now that’s done? I reckon I’ll finish watching this episode of Murder, She Wrote and then hop back in the hobby room for a quick build.
Yeah. Ended up finishing the squad build.

First Inductii done.
Speed Paint really doesn’t like flash photography, so looks wonkier than it is. But without the flash, you didn’t see the eyes. And I’m quite proud of painting the lenses.

This bad boy here just arrived. I don't intend to actually paint him for a while (he will be under everyone's scrutiny, so I figure I'll paint him last or close to it) so I put him with the Steel Rook MTO just to get free shipping. Some months later, here he is.
Talk about miniature. So much aura, even unassembled. The notion of painting him is daunting to say the least, but it will happen. Very glad to see his cast was so clean. I mean, you would expect a clean cast for a single guy the price of a Baneblade, but he's an oldish resin model and you never know how worn out their moulds are. I was 100% prepared to request replacement parts if needed, but I can't really find any flaws beyond the usual super bent spear, so I am content.

Looks like I'll be building 3 Maulers for Militia. We'll see on the way if any conversions happen.
