Bit of a newb and have a question on how fighting with a weapon with the "pistol" keyword works in close combat, specifically hand flamers. Do I just attack with that weapons profile as many times as I have attacks in close combat? So for example if I have an Intercessor sergeant armed with one do I roll 3d6 str 3 auto-hits?

No. You only use pistols in the shooting phase-melee uses close combat weapons only.
