So, are NSFW links allowed despite this site claims to be a "family-friendly" website? Vinni's N&R thread links to an outside site that is very much NSFW, and has content that is not allowed here (to the best of my understanding at least). If the interest is simply keeping explicit/forbidden material from being posted on the site, does that mean it'd be ok if I posted a link to say, pornhub that somehow had something related to warhammer, so long as it isn't embedded? How about deepfake porn of real people, again, so long as it isn't embedded?

I bring this up because the rules here state:

I feel like "There are... certain N&R threads that link to outside sites that are very much NSFW, and has content that is not allowed here" covers that, but fair enough I guess. I was trying to err on the side of "not calling out another poster" or whatever which may have been a way that the mods could have just locked the thread per the rules page.

How would it be discriminating against the LGBT+ community or artists? Saying "rape fantasy models based on real people are bad" has nothing to do with the LGBT+ community. Also, we're not talking generally about things labeled as "NSFW" by random religious groups, but "NSFW" as in, sexually or graphically explicit as defined by dakka's rules. A same-sex couple kissing (for example) is no more or less "NSFW" than a straight couple kissing.

Dakka isn't using tools to track or identify NSFW content. So the only reason a NSFW ban would negatively impact queer artists is if the mods themselves class queer content, that is identical in subject matter to non-queer content, as NSFW.

OK, fair enough. What tumblr/instagram/etc are doing is disgusting. However, that is not how dakka is using "NSFW." I suggest you check their rules as they refer to "graphic/highly graphic," and "sexual." If dakka is banning LGBT+ stuff based solely on the fact that it's LGBT+, then that's an entirely different issue. And as Malus said, dakka isn't using any tools to ban NSFW content.

Also, I'm not referring to bondage. I'm referring to rape fantasy. As in, making a model of a real person, in slavery, naked. There is no issue with bondage (a consensual act between two (or more) adults)
