Is anyone aware of any sources covering the major Chaos incursion occurring in the latter part of the Third War for Armageddon?

I am not talking about the small precursor actions around Angron's Monolith in the earlier phases of the war, and I am definitely not referring to Angron's invasion in the First War.

The only things I have found so far are snippets in the 8th and 9th edition core rule books detailing the effects of the Cicatrix Maledictum upon Armageddon, and the events of the novel Armageddon Saint. Between them, it is clear that Khornate forces and the World Eaters in particular are the predominant Chaos forces, but unlike the First War other Chaos factions are in evidence. The 13th Penal Legion encoutered Nurgle daemons and poxwalkers, and appear to have also fought daemons of Tzeentch and Slaanesh. Daemon legions of Tzeentch and Khorne fought across the Plains of Anthrand. Clearly daemons from all four gods are entering through the warp rift on Armageddon.

What is less clear is what mortal forces of Chaos are present besides the World Eaters and other Khornate warbands. The 9th edition rulebook page on Warzone: Armageddon suggests multiple Chaos forces are being drawn to the world, and the presence of the daemons of other gods suggests these mortals will be a mix of Chaos forces and not restricted to Khornate worshippers.

Has anyone come across any other sources covering these events? Personally, a mix of Chaos mortals is the much more interesting option, but none are confirmed to my knowledge.

Edit: I do not own or have access to the 9th edition Chaos or Astra Militarum codices, these seem likely places for a little more information.

Yeah those are the ones I meant. It's not been expanded on yet, too much else going on I guess.

Just had a quick look through the Imperial Guard 'dex for you - while there is a double-page spread talking about War Zone Armageddon, it doesn't specifically name which mortal forces are involved. It's talking about the IG defense of a specific Hive, but just talks about cultists/mutants/Heretic Astartes/Traitor Titans, without specifying which Legion for either the Astartes or the Titans.

Thanks! Is that the Battle of [the previously never mentioned] Hive Thoraddis? Lexicanum has a page on it. Shame there is no further detail on any of the Chaos elements, but confirms there is a complete spread of Chaos forces (cultists to titans). Could all be mono-god though.

Yeah, I believe that was the name of the Hive. As it is in the IG book, we get a bit of a force breakdown for the defenders, but nothing specific on the attackers.

Well, the Khorne daemons can at least be identified. They very imaginatively belong to the Blood Crusade...
