Hello everyone! I'm currently building and painting my first 40K army and have an idea that I'd like to try, but I'm not sure if it'll actually work or not so I figured it might be good to ask here before I drop $150 on two of the models that I'd need. My idea is to make a model that could be used as either a Chaos Lord or Daemon Prince using Abaddon as the main model, consisting of parts from multiple kits that I've got leftover and one that I might buy for this kitbash; the idea is to make it look like a Chaos Lord who's halfway through the process of transforming into a winged Daemon Prince.

I've come up with a way to make this model that could potentially work, but I don't have the Abaddon model yet so I'm unsure of whether or not the scale for the parts that I've decided on would work properly. If anybody who reads this has an Abaddon model, I'd greatly appreciate your input on the viability of these parts! I've read various threads to try getting an idea of what would work, but all I know for certain is that the wings would probably work.

I'm aiming to use a Possessed head, a Daemon Prince arm, a Terminator Lord lightning claw and a pair of Flamespyre Phoenix wings. I was hoping to find some spare Abaddon or Magnus bits online as they might suit the model better, but I haven't been able to find what I need so improvisation with the aforementioned parts is necessary.

Does anyone know if these bits would potentially work? I can provide pictures of the bits that I have on hand if needed.

I fear those wings would be absolutely gigantic on a model the size of Abaddon. For arms, maybe the Possessed or Eightbound?

Thank you very much for letting me know! I posted to Reddit as well and someone said the same thing, I greatly overestimated how large Abaddon was; I thought he was Daemon Prince sized but apparently he's closer to a Terminator Lord. I assumed that the sixty inch base meant he was a fairly large model, it seems like that size is there more so for the base decorations and balancing.

Possessed arms definitely seem like they'll be the right choice, I found a bit for one that looks exactly like a smaller version of my Prince's arm but with a finger missing which works perfectly for the look I'm going for. Based on his size it seems like humanoid models with wings are going to be my best option, I ordered a Yndrasta model from Age of Sigmar since the Drukhari Scourge wings seemed like they might be a bit small. I'm hoping that those options will work, I'll post an update here once I know for sure!
