How much do the new 10th edition helmets differ from the other models? Wondering if I can just use a regular termie helmet to replace the Leviathan Terminator Lord head, of if it is gonna be looking wrong

And therein lies my problem, and the reason for my question

Here's a pic of the two side-by-side. The new head (left) is just slightly narrower than the old but not enough to matter. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same.

Bear in mind the combination effect though - Like putting yellow over blue instead of over black (which I'm not talented enough to see but others are) the smaller head inside the bigger body is going to emphasize the bigger body in somewhat subtle ways - so basically keep the combination effect in mind when you swap. It could be the look you're going for, or it could not be.

Overall "scale creep" trends I've noticed with GW models seem to be
• larger model size overall
• smaller heads
• smaller hands
• better proportioned waist & thighs
I bet most of these trends are also present on the new Indomi termies. This will make kitbashing with the older material challenging for anyone OCD about scales and proportions

Its not "scale creep" but I think there's also more molded/recessed detail for washes and contrast paint mechanics.

Well yes, detail usually improves as well, the way they slice up their modern kits lessens undercuts considerably, resulting in crispier, more defined details

I didn't mean the qualtiy of the detail, but more the character of the detail - stuff like the recessed lines in Space Marine Boots and forearms that are designed to work with a wash or the contrast paints to "pop" those details as the wash/contrast settles into the recess to generate shadows/depth/etc on the "cheap" labor wise.
