Somebody just asked me if I could strip and clean 30 Custodes models and I'm trying to figure out what would be a good price to charge, not only for this guy but for any other people going forward. For reference, I'm dealing with Canadian bucks.

As of now, the formula I have is: (Cost of Degreaser Used) + ($1/ infantry model) + ($4/ tank/walker models) + ($10 superheavy/titan)

So for this particular job, I would charge the guy $30, plus the cost of however much degreaser I use. Does that seem reasonable, too expensive, or am I undervaluing the cost of my labor? Any feedback or advice is appreciated.

How long does it take you? How good a job do you do?

I’ve only stripped a handful of models, and it’s a pain. Takes a while, hurts my hands. And still doesn’t get them 100% fresh.

30 guys seems like it might take more then a couple hours to do right. If so, $30 is probably a low estimate. But if you have the tools/skills to do them efficiently, maybe OK.

TBH I wouldn't even think about stripping someone else's models without having access to an ultrasonic cleaner. If i trusted the person enough i might even let them borrow my smaller ultrasonic cleaner, not the larger one though.

I think I could do a model every 1 or two minutes, that would take me an average of 45 minutes or up to an hour then...
I do "good enough" for my purposes. The paint comes off 99% of the time, and the primer sometimes but almost never comes off, but that has never bothered me, I just prime over it again and the detail doesn't suffer

I got an ultrasonic, I usually use it after letting the models sit in solution for a day.
