Heya everyone!

This time I am really happy to announce the release of Warp Rift 40! Yes, another milestone has been reached. Awesome that this is still possible after all those years. Yay, thanks to all readers & contributors!

This issue brings the Fourth Tyrannic War into Battlefleet Gothic with Solblade. Some new special rules give you the oppurtunity to attempt special scenarios in which only a few elite vessels need to stop the Tyranid horde! With swarm bases to ease the movement time. And if you don't have the miniatures paper cutouts have been added. So, please have some fun with that and get back to us and tell your tales (and ideas!).

But there is more with a painting guide to just released Ork Starter fleet; campaign additions for the Tau, competition winners and more!

Where are those 'nid ships from? I have absolutely no player base for BFG around but those look absolutely amazing and especially if that's available in STL somewhere I'd love to know!

Heya, Which ones? If you look at the gallery pages at the end: The first page are Soulforge Studio Tyranids (the bright images). These are printed STL The second page (more dark blue purple) are miniatures, traditional sculpts, from Wintersbioforge. The big snail is a printed STL from Tinnut.

The drawings of the Tyranids are made by Wintersbioforge/Wintermans.

Also: whereabout is your location?

And as I mention in the solblade article: a previous issue of Warp Rift had rules to play solo games against Tyranids.

Oh I meant the ones in the post here, so that's the soulforge ones I guess? I'm having some trouble squaring the sheer tentacley-ness in those photographs with the renders on Soulforge's MMF store, but that might just be build options, or just a very nice paintjob doing some of the work there.
...Man that pink writhing flesh look is spot on.

I'll probably just buy the lot of them this weekend and play around a bit. Absolutely no chance I'll get around to printing and painting any time soon with nu-Epic around the corner but these are going very high on the digital pile of shame

I'm in the Netherlands, roughly the The Hague area.

Thanks for pointing me towards those ships, for sure!

Ah! A fellow Dutchmen!
I'm in the south (Kerkrade).

I know there are BFG players around Utrecht and Amsterdam. Not from the Hague though.

The starter sets are easy to use as introduction fleets.
And I'll pass the compliments to DoublebaseFanatic!

Yeah there used to be something of a group in Leiden but I think that fizzled out a couple years ago, more or less. Shame but they were called 'specialist' games for a reason, I suppose.

This is up there with White Dwarf. Very enjoyable as always.

My favorite games continue to be BFG, and would love to do another combined games like we did for Vigilus Subsector a while back.

As a matter of fact I plan to start a new BFG campaign at home. The idea is that each faction (Ork, Imperial, Chaos) start with a base that is an inhabited planet while every other planet in the sector is uninhabited.

Uninhabited planets can be conquered with a raid or battle, and the conquering side immediately colonizes it into (1-3, agri world) and (4-6 mining world).
