Atm i am thinking about building up my imperial-guard models first.
But I am not sure about the color Scheme atm.

I wanted to paint the Cadian-Units in some kind of Krieg-Style. (simply because I like the setup and the KRIEG-Models cost too much and compared to the new models they are simply smaller if I buy them from forge world... I had KRIEG Models from Forgeworld and they broke easily... didn't like it)

So i will go with the Cadian ones.

I have 2 possible Colour Schemes in mind:

ww1 Germans (field-grey with red parade-stuff)
ww1 French (French-blue with red parade-stuff)

I am also fine with using Vallejo Colors (I firstly wanted to switch to Vallejo because of the better bottling. Nearly 50% of my old GW-Colors dried out)

And maybe you guys have some kind of hint for me, for an 'easy' way of painting them in a good looking tabletop standard way.

I also have much space marines left. modeled but not colored. But I am not sure about the chapter I want to play. Especially when the Dark-Angels got the cool Knight Stuff and have their primarch. While on the other hand there are the glorious Imperial Fists (started to play them 10 years ago).

Atm im not sure about Black Templar or 'Black Templar-Alike' or go Dark Angel Chapter.

Thanks for your advice

Here is an onliney guy doing WW1 french with some Vallejo colours. They even have a colour listing at the end of the article that can help you find alternatives to the specific paints he chose.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Oh Canada!

Seconding looking for tabletop wargamer blogs or videos - they often use Vallejo by preference, and will have colour lists with far more exact matching to WWI / WWII stuff than your average Warhammer player knows about.

WWII German, that's easy, isnt it that one specific color, RAL 6006? IIRC I was Googling for things and modellers always liked to use the RAL codes

I think every manufacturer has their own version of that color though. So far, my favourite one is the Mr Color one, called "Black Grey"

EDIT: My bad, you were talking about WWI.. I'll see meself out

There you go pal, because obviously french uniforms This time as a video straight up because sometimes it's cool to look at it.

Each time he mentions a colour, you can either buy from the same range or use a comparison chart to look for alternative brands.

Vallejo is pretty neat, I have got a few of their paint and they're excellent.
