I like it except the fumes - blood red colour do not get together with the rest.

The fumes are blood, just couldn't be bothered to splatter it all over the model.

Looks like its munching Marines and regurgitating them, its almost sickening. Love it!

Over the whole model:
Abbadon black undercoat
Skavenblight dinge heavy drybrush
Baneblade brown drybrush all over
Karakstone drybrush from above
Ushabti bone very light drybrush on points/upwards protusions catching light.

Then I block in the flesh colour (pink, red or orange depending on the model so I can tell them apart in game)

Then carroburg crimson directly washed over flesh and non bone skin.

Doing this for all my tyranids.

From start to finish this was 45 minutes of painting. The base took longer than I spent on the model.

The red on thr ground, is that bits of gore or some kind of growth? Either way, it adds a level of organic mess to the whole model that I enjoy.
