It is a shame that the Empire Chronopia game did not get released.Would have been great to see larger armies battling it out.

The New Leviathan,Lords of Havoc will be along the same lines as the same writer is on this project.

Aye, Empire Chronopia had a huge potential. And yes, indeed, Mark Brendan did design both games, so yeah, there is a personal connection

I just had a quick look a the rules, I like the command point system.

When I get some mini's though, I will base on 40x20mm bases. 30x30mm for 10mm seems a bit too unique for my tastes.

A few things with the rules, I prefer cm with smaller scales. There is a CC stat and a number of attacks stat. I think these could be combined with the use of brackets.
Orc speaman for example could be CC = 4 (x1).

Base sizes for this system are currently being discussed on a few Facebook groups. a 40mm wide base, regardless of depth, seems to be a typical
standard for a lot of systems (with infantry at least) at the 10mm scale. I'm not opposed to going 30mm, but I think my friend into warmaster would be more keen on
giving this a go if you could just use some of his models initially without disrupting the intent of the rules.

When it comes to basing, it is always tricky when one introduces a new system. We went for 30x30 for infantry and cavalry, with a 50mm width for monsters and war machines (with depth being adjustable to accommodate the modes). There were two reasons for such a decision. First, some of the models we are planning to introduce will need a bit more space, and simply the Warmaster's bases would not allow that. Second, we wanted to have flexibility and freedom when designing a game; for example, it made the removal of causalities easier.

But I understand that not everyone likes it.

That could be a good way to go; I will make a note of that. I'm just finishing the updated version of the beta rules, and it is too late to put in, but I will have a chat with Mark about it.

Seb

Hi all!

It's time for a round-up of the latest news!

Urban War 3rd edition is coming soon!

Yes, you are not mistaken. As we promised last year, when we acquired the license to develop Urban War further, we were actively working on a new edition of the game.

New Urban War – Gamebox

As with our other releases, we are preparing a dedicated boxed set to allow players to start their adventures with our games quickly. This is no exception!

You can read more about the upcoming 3rd edition here:
https://www.seb-games.com/2024/09/13/urban-war-3rd-ed-is-coming-soon/

We now stock a selection of MP Paints

We now stock a selection of MP Paints, which are truly classic paints with a great selection of colours!

For now, we have only a selection of colours to kick off, but we will add more in the coming weeks. We also plan to add dedicated staters sets to fit our games and miniatures!

You can find the available selection here:
https://www.seb-games.com/store/product-category/hobby-products/

Classic Leviathan range

We recently added another batch of 28mm Leviathan miniatures to our catalogue.

Among them is the Talos (War Golem). It has been a long time since this model was available—years, to be precise! But now it's back in stock!

Check out the currently available Levitahn range here:
https://www.seb-games.com/store/product-category/leviathan-classic-range/

Leviathan: Lords of Havoc
We also have some snippets of what we are working on for those interested in our 10 mm mass battle game for Leviathan.

First, some bits of Mark Brendan's work on the narrative side of Leviathan: Lords of Havoc!

We are also working on another batch of miniatures, and here are my first paint layers on a 10mm version of Ever Hungry demon

That's all for now!

Cheers,
Seb

Very exciting! I'm impatiently playing games of 1st Edition while waiting for the launch of 3rd!

With the new starter being SioCast, are there any plans to offer the rest of the VOID/Urban War miniatures in SioCast as well?
Contrary to many players I'd rather have miniatures in resin/SioCast over metal, so I'm really looking forward to the new starter!

The short answer is yes. And, as always, longer is more complex

Generally, yes, we have some big plans for Sio. So far, I'm quite happy with the quality of the test models. The main issue folks usually have with SioCast is that the material is hard to clean. So, we aim to get the best quality casts possible to minimise the cleaning or mould line removal to a minimum. Also, in recent years, prices of metal have gone up quite significantly, so we need to look for alternative materials that are suitable for our needs.

The new starter set, together with some 10mm Leviathan models, is our first proper dip into it, as with our caster, we take a slower approach to ensure that the quality is there. If that works (and I don't see any reason for not), we will start assessing other models and transfer them to SioCast. The big multipart models are probably the first on the list, as no one likes to build big metal multi-part models

Cheers,
Seb

Hi,

We are having a small clearance sale of the remaining Black Tree Design stock.

Grab yours till they are in stock!

As we focus more on VOID/Urban War and Leviathan ranges, we need to make some changes, and we will no longer be stocking Black Tree Designs miniatures.

Please note that we do not offer back orders on those miniatures. What is available from the web shop is what we have physically in stock.

Visit our webshop to see what is still available:

Hi all!

We have some great news!

We now take pre-orders for the new Urban War edition!

Urban War Gamebox
This set contains everything you need for two players to play a game of Urban War. The box includes:

  • 12 SioCast miniatures that make up two complete, balanced forces, Viridian and Junkers. Including two brand-new special characters

  • FREE copy of the new Urban War 3rd edition rulebook (softcover)

  • 1x Counters sheet

  • 1x Terrain sheet

  • 2x Quick reference sheets

  • 2 D10 dice.

  • This is an ideal starter set for enthusiasts to get into the hobby.

The Gamebox also contains two brand new named characters for each faction:

    Major Lilliane Ironburn

    Decurion Drusus

    FULL-FORCE 300-series

Those sets are designed to give you well-balanced 300-point armies for the Urban War game system. 300 points is the standard size force to fight Urban War battles, so with each set, you have all the miniatures you need to get playing. These boxes provide an excellent starting point for newcomers to the hobby as well as “veterans” looking to try out a new faction.

We are also offering the new 3rd edition rulebook in two versions, soft and hardcover, depending on your preference.

You can pre-order the sets from our web store:
    https://www.seb-games.com/store/product-category/pre-orders/

    Cheers,
    Seb

    Hi guys,

Another month has passed, so it's time for some of the latest news!

    Junkers Haft-track

After many, many years and some considerable delays, we are proud to announce that the famous Junker's Half-Track is now available from our web store! Huzzah!

You must forgive us for this model's rather poor paint job. It still needs some work (well, a lot of it ), but we know many of you would like to get one before Christmas, so we needed to rush it a bit.

The Half-Track comes with a crew member who operates the Chain Gun. The rules will be available soon in the fourth issue of our BattleMag! magazine.

    Urban War 3rd

Pre-order any new Urban War 3red sets or rulebook and get a new Traid Mercenary miniature for FREE!

    https://www.seb-games.com/store/product-category/pre-orders/

    Shipping to EU and Canada
As some of you may be aware, new regulations (GPSR) are coming into force in the EU. We want to assure all our EU-based customers that we are shipping all orders to the EU as usual.

However, if you have any questions about our products or shipping, please feel free to contact us, and we will answer them.

    Canadian Customers

At the moment, all orders shipped by RM to Canada are on hold. We can still accept orders from Canadian customers, but we will hold off on shipping them until the strike action is over.

Customers wishing to use alternative courier companies as a shipping option should not hesitate to contact us. We will provide you with the available options.

    That's all for now!

    Cheers,
    Seb

    Hi all!

    It's time for some updates!

    Urban War

A wee delay on this front.

Sadly, we are experiencing a wee delay on the printer front. The printer we used in Germany to print boxes has stopped shipping orders to the UK. At least for now, as they are working on an improved system for that. Hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later, as we have a good working relationship with them. In the meantime, we have found a new printer that is currently working on our boxes.

We are still waiting for the rulebooks to be delivered from our UK printers. The delay here is entirely on my side, as I simply took extra time for the book layout and delivered files to the printers a bit late.

The problems with our printer’s problems are all sorted now, but sadly, that means the delivery of the pre-orders will be delayed by a week or two.

NEW RELEASES - 10mm Goblin Rabble

Goblin rabble are the lowest of the low in orc society. When they aren’t serving as slaves, food or sacrifices to Azoth, they are driven to battle to serve mainly as cannon fodder.

The new goblins are our first new release of the year. They are cast in thermoplastic (aka SioCast), and we are very happy with the results.

    Leviathan 28mm Classic range

We are also continuing with the release of the classic 28mm Leviathan models. It takes a bit longer than we hoped, as rephotographing the range takes a bit more time. But I think it is a time well spent as it shows the old minis in a far better light:

I absolutely love the Adrian Smith art in the original Leviathan book as it was a fresh take on the fantasy genre back when I was still a young pup exploring gaming for the first time during the 90s. I bought a bunch of the figs but never played but I still have alot of nostalgia for the classic line.

Are there any good forums or groups for the game still around? Finding players could be pretty tricky.

Also, are the neo-iskandrians going to be on the cards for release some time? Saw them at a convention about 8 years ago, thought they looked great.

Games like that usually release the whole kit before they do the new stuff. Happened before with Void and Pulp City, will happen to Relic Knights, and this'll be no different.

The cursed Neo-isks. The short answer is yes, at some point.
A bit longer one is that at the moment, we don't have any solid release plan for them as they require a lot of re-tooling of moulds etc. Missing a big batch of the original 3d file is not helping that task either.

    Hi all!

It was a few busy months, but we are now on top of our game!

All Urban War 3rd edition Gamesboxes were dispatched some time ago! Huzzah! And, as you could expect, the new Gamebox is now available from our web store.

And here is our latest addition to the webshop:

    Urban War

Those criminals deemed too politically unsound, difficult to rehabilitate, or otherwise too unreliable to serve in the Legions, instead are sentenced to the Convict Auxilia.

    Available here:
    https://www.seb-games.com/store/urban-war/uw-junkers/auxilia-booster/

    Leviathan

The Fury turns its recipients into living channels of the Earthpower. It causes their bodies to warp, their bones to swell and their features to distort. In the grip of the Fury, a Warper’s skin becomes hard as iron and can turn aside the blows of normal weapons. He can flatten a Razorback with a single punch and chop down the mightiest oak with a single sweep of his axe.

    Available here:
    https://www.seb-games.com/store/leviathan-classic-range/barbarian-warper-with-sword-ii/

    Digital rulebooks

Over the years, we have always tried to keep our products as affordable as possible and make the rules for our games available for free. Unfortunately, we need to modify this approach slightly. Producing new rules and books – even if available only as PDFs – requires resources.

So, with a heavy heart, we have decided that the PDF version of the new Urban War rulebook will be available as a paid download. The price will not be high, as the PDF version will cost £5. This extra charge will help us improve the quality of our products. Additionally, you can also purchase the PDF versions of the latest VOID supplements.

    Hi all,

    Here are the latest news!

    Leviathan 28mm re-release

The War Chariot is the favoured vehicle of the Barbarian clan. Many favour the high mobility granted by these smaller, lighter chariots compared to the larger War Towers and Battle Chariots. These small agile chariots are drawn by a pair of Razorbacks and crewed by a charioteer and warrior.
