One thing I'm hoping on is that Ossairchs come down in points. Nothing worse than an elite army with lots of growing choices and point costs that mean you can only tack a fragment of the force each time.

You can even have wave it in lore that as time passes they are rushed out of "production" faster to meet the demand for war.

In the stream, did they mention if Kataros would be able to field chariots?

I thought his lore was he hated chariots, since he died to beastmen chariots. But the article made it sound like it was something he'd enjoy using on lumineth

It didn't, but he adapts. The whole reason bows have appeared is because he got his ass beat by range and swore not to be outdone by that again.

Honestly I'd have preferred him charging into battle on some grand chariot over his display model. Which always feels like it was made more for display than for a wargame model (though not quite as bad as the Sisters of Battle one - which is still an epic looking model just really not a standard wargame model).

I'm amused that the Bone Golem Archers are more sensible than the Temu High Elf Archers.

I actually like him more behaving as an actual commander in the back. Surveying and issuing out orders, only striding out when the time is right.

Kind of a pain the ass to get hold of though. Have to spend £100 in stores only and while stocks last. He is free though apparently, so that's something.

£100 is pretty steep! But at least easier to get hold of than the Soul Blight Wight King

I actually managed to find him for rrp recently. So it can be done. But i think i would have preferred this guy as the store anniversary piece and the vampire as this promotion. There's a lot more variation of vampires out there.

This will be Loot for the Loot Group. I’m within driving distance of not one, but two GW stores. So, depending on what I actually need to add to my pile, I could end up with two.

Unfortunately I sold it in 2016 before I moved from the UK to Australia, if I have any pics they're stuck on the hard drive of a deceased laptop (but at least I might still have them)

I had a 6" cake tier circle for the base, 20cm long 6mm dowel for the stand with nuts on top. A 10" or 12" cake tier circle for the disc with a bolt underneath to screw into the stand. I had a hexagonal bottom tier of CoD terrain, with some of the bling coming out to the sides a bit like the old Tzeentch Epic (or Man O'War?) Bane Tower. That level had some balconies that I put some classic Flamers on for the secondary guns, then two more CoD levels, and at the top a battlement (rather than a tower roof), with a square wooden dowel frame, from which I hung a water-dowsing crystal on a jewelry chain that I found on some new age site ebay shop lol. I stuck a bunch of moon and star-themed pieces from an art/hobby shop over the top of the disc.

I also built a Doom Blaster by taking a Baneblade and leaving the main section empty so I could fit 4 of the original Forgeworld Heavy Mortars inside, and partially built a Plague Tower using the old plastic WHF Siege Tower as a base.

Hey, if that Combat Patrol one works, they're still selling the Fronteris terrain set there...

Surprised no one is talking about the new Lumineth Spearhead box. I definitely want one, as I need everything in it. The new character is a nice sculpt but kind of forgettable as many of the "pity heroes" are.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2024: 40 | Total models painted in 2025: 48 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings

It's a good looking box, probably a wee bit on the powerful side. But we'll see, they've been unusually excellent when it comes to balancing Spearhead.

But i think most people got distracted by the RoR box which is just the endless spells.

I mean the endless spell part isn't exciting as it has nothing new inside the box itself.

Well no, but it caught a lot of attention because it was just the spells and the dude to cast them. It's the first time they've done that.

Yeah I'm guessing the spells didn't sell quite as well as GW hoped so bundling them might help.

Honestly the new Spearhead is very tempting as a box, lots of cool models in that and also pairs up well; get two and you've got the generic and named hero version. Add the new Battleforce and you've got a big solid core.

Don't know if it's about selling well or just trying a new idea. Problem with Endless Spells is once you've bought them, there's zero reason to ever get them again. This puts it out there so people who may never touch Lumineth might be tempted to get a unit they may otherwise never even look at.
