I posted those on BillMakingStuff Discsord(https://discord.com/invite/nYeDHxpvva) and one member asked if there was any lore, so i had to come up with something, (Archeonems) name is made up, I was thinking of Nulls from MTG, something mindless and old, Archeo - nulls.
They did turn out quite nifty.
The blue powders was a test to see if the classical (Mars Red Powder) effect can be replicated but with other colors.
I have different colored chalk, want to try green powers and yellow, ets.
The steps are:
1 - Varnish finished model
2 - ModPodge dabbing
2 - Dusting with pigments
No varnish after pigments, the dust holds on enough by it self. I don't even use pigment fixer anymore.
Oversaturation is a possibility, but this was a test. Because red pigments look super cool, doesn't mean other colors will look cool too. It kinda works, still not as cool as red.

That's a lot of bits! Love where this is headed already- very clever builds!
It was a clearance deal at DollarTree on the (Final Faction) line that allowed me to get multiple pieces. Also picked up few MetalTech Construction Kits for the wheels, quite useful.

Tehnolog is a old Russian/Soviet toy company from the 90ties that is still around...maybe still around?!
That was heavily inspired by 40k, they had fantasy and sci-fi line just like GW.
They used to sell blister packs of plastic soldiers at gas stations, like the comic books used to sold back in the day.
Plastic used is Polyethylene, is what shopping bags are made of, cheap cheap stuff. Think of if 40k was reimagined in plastic army-men quality.
examples:
lore: Animation example at 8:30 min
This is probably the official/dead site, that looks like it is still stuck in the 90ties.
There used to be few episodes of an early 3D animation cartoon and a computer game attempt, but I am unable to find examples of those online.
http://www.robogear.ru/eng/skelet/2/index_2.php
Their terrain kits and vehicles are detailed enough to look good, and DIRTCHEAP at the same time!
I ordered a whole bunch of kits from Russia back in the day—each kit should be $2 to $5, no more.
The ones I used to see on Amazon were waaay overpriced. But now the only ones I see are on eBay, and those have become old collectibles ’90 toys.

The green leg sections looked scrawny, added extra, paperclip, support to the legs that will double up as pin-mounts for the base.

Mostly accurate. Just a couple minor clarifications:
1 Much of their stuff is proper polystyrene. Robogear, most of Bronepehota, terrain sets, etc. is all good hard plastic.
Even the 54mm figure packs were avaiable for a time in polystyrene, though most of what's still available in that range now is all the army man polypropylene.
2) They might still be around or at least they were until the war. New product was coming over until the invasion of Ukraine. Before the invasion this stuff was widely available and quite cheap, especially the NOS stock of IMEX and Airfix's failed attempts to launch the "Robogear" game in the west. They were also importing their "Platformer", "Hexagon", "Chemical Plant" (one of the best greebling kits ever) and "Power Plant" kits through Pegasus Hobbies as well.

Oh yeah, I'd completely forgotten about those. I think maybe there were cannon also. I was obsessed with learning everything I could about Tehnolog a decade ago, but that waned once I had what I wanted and I lost most interest post-invasion.
I do have a few mechs and tanks that I'll paint up someday though.

Yep there was also a cannon. I missed out.
Time to get rid of more hoarded trash.
This is some cheap gun/transformer thing that I found.
Coffee stir sticks for tracks.
I remember when those headphones broke, and remember saving the pieces.

Has a real Weird World War vibe. You really have the eye for effective trash-bashing
Thank you! RedAlertII is heavy inspiration for alot of these builds. In a way, I am trying to recreate the RedAlertII vibes.
