I have been trying to create the orangest orange possible for my Tau and I think I'm getting close. And how to capture through my photography!

This is the first attempt. Basically, it's a zenithal highlight of red and yellow with a translucent orange airbrushed over top. It looks more pumpkin than neon orange and think that was automatic function on my camera.

So I changed the white balance and tried photographing these two.

Now I need to find a way to make the pin washing less sloppy. Maybe I should finally get into oil paints and make an extremely thin solution. That might look a little cleaner.

I also need to find a way to make the whites a little less chunky. Five coats of white over a high gloss orange finish just doesn't look very nice.

I'm always to open to advice and maybe a vote in the gallery.

That is very orange

I tried orange oil paint once in an attempt to get better coverage but I just ended up making a mess

Finished just in time for them to be moved to legends.

Surely you can proxy them as normal Crisis suits though? These models are too cool not to get some use out of!

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Oh, definitely! Although the base is a little big, so I'm tempted to run them as commanders.
