I like it very much, big Dawn of War 1 fan here. Do they 3d print or cast it and what material do they use?

Totally need one of those strongholds. I like the battlefield in a box terrain, but it sure is hit and miss getting hold of a lot of it.

These are wonderfully Rogue Trader looking, and would make for great contrast to the more goth terrain GW themselves make nowadays. Will have to see if I can get ahold of some of these, obliged for the heads up!

Are you basing them teaming up on something like an actual press release or just on them both ripping off the same GW designs? Because the sculpts are entirely different.

Already picked up everything but the arsenal which hasn’t arrived in NZ yet. Prices are fairly reasonable too.The stronghold is big - 36cm long from memory.
I’ll need to repaint them to match my chapter, but that should be fun.

if by entirely different you mean exactly the same, then yes, GF9 has licensed "Chapters Headerquarter" line from War Scenery.

Kind of amazed how these seem to have flown under the radar! Definitely going to try and pick some of them up.
On a similar note, their new range of Legions Imperialis/Epic terrain (also a collab?) seems to be on the way - went looking for the DoW style stuff and noticed a few places that had some preorders for the epic scale range, but without any photos... again seems to be coming out beneath the radar, any ideas what actually comes in these sets...?

I think one of the reasons is just the general difficulty in getting BiaB terrain. Seems to be if you see something you like grab it, because the odds of anywhere having a full set of what you might want to buy is next to zero.

Yep super frustrating, been trying to grab the vanilla river for a couple years now but even mix and matching vendors I can't get the full set.

Some digging online turned these up. So, it looks like at least some retailers have received product images from GF9.

Ah awesome, nice one that'll help me get a preorder in now! I guess the ruined ones will be the next wave.
Though they look to be churning new stuff out (probably not in sufficient volume but hey) - looks like a range of totally not Dawn of War Tau buildings...

I managed to pick up most of the marine base stuff, and I’ll probably pick up the armoury too at some point. There’s a bunker as well, but I don’t recall if from the games so I’ll probably skip that (I’m a purist!).
Here’s the range and some size comparison shots (I used OG marines as they're the ones used in Dawn of War after all).
They are chonky!
Marine squad deployed!
Overall I’m pretty pleased with everything. The magnets to attach the fragile gubbins is a nice touch and the price point is good. I was planning to repaint everything to match my marine chapter, but now I have the actual pieces the paint job is actually fine. Given the amount of other stuff I have to paint, I think a fetching green is a perfectly good colour

My brain definitely wants me to think there was a Space Marine Bunker in DoW, but I can't find any examples on an image search - I do recall garrisoning SM units, though.
Maybe I'll need to reinstall it and see what has gotten stuck up there.

You could garrison SM in the orbital relay to Deep Strike them.

I was wondering about that myself - so I reinstalled Dawn of War this evening to check it out. It seems pretty close. The Machine Cult is bigger than the photos make it look and the main base is 36cm long.

I assumed he meant from an in universe 'realistic' scale. In that the barracks would hold a single squad etc. But yes they look like they match the video game ones.

Yea yea in "reality" those pads should accomodate Thunderhawks, the HQ garage should fit Land Raiders, etc. But perfectly understandable to abstract them for playability.

Based on the video game, most of the barracks is below ground- the supply pods are taken below ground once they hit the pad. The surface part is basically just an armoured porch.

Only the machine cult pad should accommodate Thunderhawks... which it might actually. The other pads are for drop pods. Need a size comparison next to a Skyshield pad (which can fit a Thunderhawk).
Fair point on the fortress monastry, it should be able to fit vehicles through the door for an underground hangar ideally, although it never garrisoned vehicles in the games.
Bearing in mind these are structures for temporary forward-operating bases dropped from orbit, not full Chapter keeps.
