My work got an anycubic kobra max some time last year, after some practice printing ruins for terrain, I got myself a bambu a1 mini for my birthday this month. So far I'm looking to print a couple of tanks, does anyone have any hints for finding good proxies for the older RT,2nd edition, or 3rd edition vehicles?
Any good retro style terrain/bunkers you might suggest I look for?

Found a Rhino file, I think I'm going to print a few. I never liked that tanks felt too small compared to infantry, so I think one of the best things for 3d printing is being able to scale up tanks and scale down infantry to make them fit better with each-other without making them unplayable on the table top.

Printed a second rhino after some more tweaking, here's a few pictures. I have it beside one of the 2004-2006 ish era rhinos for comparison.

I've been testing out some things to be able to print replacement boltguns for the monopose 2e marine, and the monopose marines from the 6th ed dark angels box.

I have a pile of 2nd edition boys missing bolters. If you don't mind DMing me where you found that one I'd be grateful I primarily use 3D printing for vintage model repair/restoration/saving so that would be rad.

I've been modeling/making it myself. I plan on uploading it to cults for free when I'm done but real life has had me very busy

Well because you were interested in my bolter model, I did some work to finalize what I was working on, and did a few test prints last night.
I have attached pictures of my test prints.

My previous print had some problem slotting the bolter onto the pegs that are on the marine, I changed the holes on the model a bit and now the bolter slots on fine.
So I think it may be ready to upload to cults for other people to use.

WIP on the melta-gun I'm making for monopose 2nd ed marines.

Welp I think I'm satisfied with the 3d model, I've printed a few test prints and its pretty good.

So now I have a viable melta gun available for 2nd edition monopose space marines.

When you paint those up, they will be awesome.

Heck yeah, I'm hoping to use them as part of a project I was already working on painting up. I was going to do like.. a series of 5-man combat squads painted in each of the 9 founding legions. Some vetarans, some tactical, some devastators, some assault squads, having some of these extra options to stand out on the monopose marines that I have mixed in will look nice.

Well, I've had a lot of personal stuff happen to me starting on 12/19/24, it really derailed the 3d modeling I was doing. I think I'm ready to try working on the plasma gun in the next day or two.

Been working on and off on this plasma gun, just been so busy and still uninspired, but chipping away bit by bit.

I know I was going to work more on the plasma gun, but I got bit by the bug of Space Crusade and that has been a higher interest to me than finishing this weapon.
Knowing the condition that this board game is in, I have been wanting to 3d model parts to print and use/replace the originals, not only to help preserve them for longer but also prevent damaging them further, and also so that the game can be played more and when I do share it, hopefully more people can play the game too.
Right now I'm working on the "2" board, or rather, the board that has the number 2 on the floor. For printers with a big enough bed, I should be able to leave it in one piece, but for smaller printers I'm going to cut it into 4 pieces and have it be able to be assembled together from those 4 pieces into 1 bigger piece.

Man a lot has come up, haven't worked on the board or the plasma gun in a while. I'll probably get back to them eventually. Found some good files to print so I've been focused on that.

With my 3rd edition battle bible slowing down, I have more time for other projects like 3d modeling again, I finished a version of the plasma gun I was working on and printed it off. Looks pretty good I think, I should paint it up.
