Plummeting Black Templar Thunderhawk Pilot
|
Morning all.
Thought I'd start a blog to document my attempt at turning some mk3 marines into templar brethren without just giving them swords, shields and saying "yep, they're done".
So to start with I've sketched three very rough ideas on my phone using a photo from Google.
Does anyone have any other ideas, or any suggestions on how to do this well?
Please believe me, I'm planning the end results to look MUCH better than my terrible sketches here.

So, I finally got the time to start some sculpting. It's slow work, but my God do I love how it's starting to turn out!!

Still needs some fine work, I'll probably let it set and sand it down, but I'm SO happy with how this is going!!!

You have more patience than I do. How many are you building?

20 Templar Brethren in total. A mix of some like this, some with a maltese cross in the center, some with lightning bolts, and I'll be having a go at making some fist symbols too (though I have some brass bits I can use for that if I need to).
