So, I'm not sure if this would be any good, but I picked up a bunch of warriors in a trade recently and have about half of what I'd need for this. The new Detachment just got me wondering... would this actually be pretty decent? They all get a 5+ invul now and are Battle-Line.

Warrior Bioform Onslaught 1990pts

NeuroTyrant: 105pts
Synaptic Tyrant: 10pts

Winged Tyranid Prime x3: 195pts

Tyranid Melee Warriors 6x6: 900pts
Tyranid Ranged Warriors 6x6: 780pts

While Warriors may not be the strongest things ever, they are solid workhorses and decently durable once they get that 5+ invul. 72 bodies with that statline plus 4 buffing characters seems pretty scary TBH.

What type of shooting can this list put out?

With 6 units of 6 Warriors that give you:
12 Venom Cannons (Blast) D3 Shots at BS: 4+ S:9 Ap: 2 D: 2
12 Barbed Stranglers (Blast) D6+1 Shots at BS: 4+ S:6 Ap: 1 D: 1
24 Deathspitters: 3 Shots at BS: 4+ S:5 AP: 1 D: 1

There's also a Strat that gives you +2 Str to ranged attacks from a unit.
Another that lets you re-roll hit and wound rolls of 1
And a final one that lets your shots ignore cover for all your units targeting the same enemy.

One of the ranged units would be led by a Neurotyrant giving them +1 to hit and an additional +1 to wound as well if the target is battle shocked.

While the anti-tank isn't amazing, the melee warriors also have a solid profile and their twin-linked weapons allow them to push through damage on anything below T:12

Essentially from an AA perspective, I see the list being able to down Armigers and War Dogs well enough, but would have a lot of trouble with full on Knights.

Most number of large Knights you will face (based on what I've seen locally) is 2-3.

I Gotta get back to this wonderful managerial class. I'll add more later.

As someone who has painted 70+ Warriors (I think. I lost count) I approve this list.
