Nice pics, the minis really pop against that black background. Good work on the babysitter, he doesn’t look drab despite being mostly grey and brown.

I'm surprised by how many Ultramarines I'm seeing, they must be popular. Space Marine 2 must be doing some great PR work for them!

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Did I least do justice to the old sculpt? I feel like my entries have been terrible lately...

Looks great to me.

One thing might be to sharpen up the visor a little? It should idealy be high-gloss reflective effect.

But what you have works.

That reminds me, I have a draw full of rogue trader squats I was going to paint...

I think it looks great! I especially like your colour choices, very appropriate to the early 90s rogue trader/2nd edition aesthetic! I also like the additions you've made to the model, they work well. Love the old squats, I really must get round to painting them...

Thanks! I fell in love with their quartered paint scheme, and red and yellow work well with my trademark Paint Everything Brown technique.

You are quite brave to be painting freehand over that nubby shoulder pad.

Hiya, all.

It's been quite a while since I entered but I am trying to get back into the hobby...marriage fallen apart and single-parenting three kids but trying to find some time for myself!

Back in the 90s when I got into the hobby, the most 'Space Marine' image that lingers in my degrading memory is the OG Space Hulk.

The Blood Angels Terminators in tight, enclosed corridors still really push those nostalgia buttons...

..So, I am going to paint this guy (from Leviathan)....as my first entry in a long time. Look forward to seeing everyone's work!

Lovely submissions.

My mini is still in the model cupboard, still wearing nothing but a coat of primer.

I’ve just not got it in me this month, I seem to have lost my ‘mojo’ a little for some reason. I think I just need a bit of a break. I’ll be here to vote for you all.

Would an extra day help? I can give you an extension.

It’s only a marine. You can speed-paint one drunk in a couple hours. Grab a brush and shake off those blahs!

Or not. Whatever you need to do to be happy. Cheers!

Uuugh, why do I struggle so much with lighting?! It also doesn't help that the model is black and white. It's a thin line between under and overexposure. My brother is hoping to start an Iron Hands army with ties to the Ademch, so I thought I'd paint up an IH marine with some martian colours. And I framed so he can hang it on his wall.
