It's just a shame GW only half 3.5ed the range or this edition would be great.

I always hated putting down an 80pt avatar against a 200 pt bloodthirster in that edition.

I mourned for the 2nd ed days when they were both the same price and had massive mid field smack downs...

I have started added units/materials from citadel journal to the battle bible, I think it will be a long time before I post another update for it though, I plan on adding citadel journal and then imperial armor materials/units.

I have also worked out an early version of a points formula for re-balancing units in 3rd edition. I Plan on posting a sister document I'm calling the 3rd edition battle bible minor unit rebalance. Basically I am keeping unit profiles the same, but re-balancing the points values to hopefully better reflect the performance of units, weapons, and so forth, and adding a few options here and there. Like I see no problem why eldar guardians shouldn't also have access to lasblasters as weapons, to match with 2e eldar guardian models which had lasguns as an option. So I'll be doing some of those things.

In addition to the "minor unit rebalance" I plan on doing a "major faction rebalance" document which brings greater level of additions/changes to units and the actual stat profiles of units in order to bring back some more of the variety that 2e had, and perhaps units/options that were in 4th/5th editions but folded into the 3e framework.

I have finished up adding material from Citadel Journal to the Battle Bible, no published update yet.
Current work is adding material from Imperial Armor 1, will follow up with IA2, IA Update 2002, IA Update 2004, IA Vol 1, IA Vol2
I'm also working on a new style update and a new version that takes all material an integrates it together, kind of like if GW re-published the books with all the updates included instead of having to slap things together with different books/magazines.

Version 1.5 of the 3rd edition battle bible is done, this is the last major update I plan on doing, other than minor typo fixing and whatnot as people point them out

A few random things:
-p199 - Minor psychic powers used by the enemy have no effect at all of Grey Knights. (DH, 8)

The exorcist missile launcher is a turret (not errata, just frequently asked question)


Question - which supplement was the machine spirit update it? I didn't realise that chaos ever had it, and by the same token daemonhunters are lacking it (I only recall it being in the 5e FAQ but it looks like you have a chapter approved source?)

If you have chapter approved 2004, 2003, or 2001, look in the rules for updated transport vehicles, go to the page for land raiders, than read the last paragraph of that entry "Chaos Land Raiders use the Machine Spirit rules, although they replace the Machine Spirit with something altogether more malign!"

I do believe I have it added to Daemonhunters, but it is also shown as "fire control" and "deus ex machina" instead of just "machine spirit"

Ah yes, page 56 in the sidebar.

I'm not sure I had ever seen a chaos land raider actually using that rule (almost no-one had chapter approved). As an old inquisition player I remember the grey knights didn't formally get it in the errata/faqs until 5th edition - I guess even GW didn't read their own errata :p
