I do rocks in grey with a nuln oil wash. I use mechanucus, but dawnstone would work.

Same grey I use for aquila and random skulls on non-officers (who get gold) Grey, drybrush with a silver (leadbelcher) black wash.

It looks like a darker red. I might go with khorne red. I’m a little biased, as that’s my go-to that I keep on hand. Over a black prime it might be a little too dark, so you might want to start a shade lighter.

I like gloss paints for eye lenses, so if trying to replicate that scheme would use blood for the blood god over a bright silver. YMMV.

I also use BftBG over khorn red for the wax on purity seals, for what that’s worth.

Thanks for the help. I'm trying to stick to my grimdark theme for these guys (I believe only the Black Templar and Custodes should be bright and shiny/glossy).

In other news, I'm down a Marine. Had to remove an arm to add to the Kill Team. Still Have 9 Marines to play with.

Getting there... 3 done, 2 to go... for me to finish the team from Space Marine Adventures: Tyranid Attack!

P.S. by done, I realize they are missing arms. They're painted, I'm just trying to get the black Ravenguard Transfers for a decent price online.

Getting there. Just a quick question.

Why would I want to field an Assault Intercessor Sergeant vs. an Intercessor Sergeant?

I can give them the same close combat weapons, only the regular Sergeant can take a Bolt Rifle instead of a Bolt Pistol or Plasma Pistol. There's no other differences.

I can’t speak for kill team, but checking datasheets for 40k, the regular sergeant is better than assault, with the one caveat being a group of 5 regular intercessors costs 5 more points than the assault intercessors. Unless I’m misreading it, but everyone knows sleep deprived people slacking at work are the best at reading

One day I will have something funny enough to be in a signature.

An assault Intercessor Sergeant can have a Plasma Pistol which is a very good weapon in Kill Team, and having an extra attack dice with a close combat weapon is an IMMENSE advantage, as you can afford to parry most of enemy blows and still have enough hits to maul them.
