Corvus corax
Kaedes Nex
2 praetors
10 Dark Fury Assault Squad
10 Cataphractii terminators
10 Mor Deythan Strike Squad
20 mkvi tacticals
1 spartan tank
1 contemptor dreadnought

How to equip them? Do I need rhino transports? How many points is this so far? What should I add? Should I wait for new rulebooks before doing anything?

Are you aware there's a new edition coming in 2 weeks?

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

No point in doing any sort of army expansion until the new edition comes out if you're planning on playing HH3.

Otherwise you've got about 2 weeks to get all the older rulebooks.

Is it a pretty good start to a 3k force? I lucked out and got it cheap. All new.

We don't know because the full scope of the new rules has not been revealed yet. It's generic and you've got some unique units, whether or not it's a good composition or not isn't clear yet.

The most likely thing, from looking at that, is that you need more Line. Tactical Marines, Recon Marines, Despoilers or Assault Squads, probably.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

On the Dreadnought, it’s well worth looking into magnetising.

Right now, one can field an army composed of nothing but Dreads. But in 3rd, they’re a bit thinner on the ground. You can still have a fair number, but can’t take multiples per slot.

So a little bit of work now to maximised your weapon loadout, allowing you to better tailor that Dread to multiple lists, seems a very sensible thing to do.

Though I’m not convinced both weapon halves need a magnet. Should be plenty strength just doing one half.

For future purchases? I’d agree you need more infantry. Depending on how you feel about the Saturnine stuff, I’d reckon one of the new boxed sets will give you a decent boost of basic stuff, should you eschew Disintegrators.

Fed up of Scalpers? But still want your Exclusives? Why not join us?

You definitely don't need a magnet on both sides-one is more than sufficient.
