We've filled in most of the Horus Heresy's major plot points.... so what's next for the Horus Heresy timeline?
I can't imagine GW not producing more HH novel content.

That would be Alpharius: Head of the Hydra.

The obvious next step is the Scouring, where the traitors are chased off to the Eye of Terror. We already know a bit of what will happen (Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors fighting in the Iron Cage), and the scope is large enough that you can fit plenty of space opera. Game-wise, it's also easy to extend the existing HH-era games, since the units and factions will be more or less the same.

Yeah, my dream is that they'll add some daemon/xenos factions to the 30k games as well. Orks would fit well for sure. They were left out of the Horus Heresy entirely I think, but they were important in the Great Crusade, and maybe they'll show up in the Scouring. Eldar were obviously also around.

I thought Ruinstorm Daemons were a thing already.

It's Daemons, they already have models. The point is to convert them because the Ruinstorm is Chaos in it's truest form.

Just Horus left. The others have been out for years.
Sanguinius: The Great Angel
Rogal Dorn: The Emperor’s Crusader
Mortarion: The Pale King
I suspect we may not ever get Horus tbh.

I personally consider the first three HH novels to be Horus' "Primarch Novel".

Era of Ruin had a couple stories eluding to Guilliman taking the reins and it seems not everyone sees this as a good thing. I could see a few novels being written about the fallout of Guilliman's seizing of power and would make for a great comparison to his return in 40k.
Sigismund forming the Black Templars would be a good storyline. That shift from 30k rationality to the zealots of 40k. Showing the chapters as various bioproducts of the traumatized legions would make for an interesting ark or two.

Guilliman's codex reforms almost leading to a second schism has been a thing in the canon for ages, iirc the principal point of contention was that there was a faction that saw the splintering of the legions as the first step towards their descend to irrelevance (most prominent in that faction were Russ, Dorn, and Vulkan) while others readily agreed either because the reform fit their established style anyway (Corax, Khan) or because they had their own secret agenda (the Lion, who mostly agreed to all of it openly, but secretly kept the legion structure pretty much intact).
