Space Crusade, followed by Mission: Dreadnought.

Then the girl next door let me borrow Heroquest, and then shortly after I noticed this magazine in WH Smiths featuring...Blood Angels in cool bulky armour? Walking around a golf course with other cool Blood Angels?

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Heroquest was technically my first foray into miniatures. When I first discovered Warhammer i used my Heroquest Orcs to help learn the rules.

My first Warhammer model was just a blister I bought along with a starter paint set. Specifically the old Marius Leitdorf model, which is the main reason when my are is Averland based.

First ever plastic kit? I think it was an Airfix 1:600 scale model of the Tirpitz. My parents gave it to me. I painted it with enamel house paint. First Citadel models was a set of Hobgoblins in samurai armour. My first WH40k models were these guys - the original RTB91 Marines, in (I think) blue plastic; I was given the sample box that GW sent our local hobby shop. These are most of the survivors of my Blood Drinkers:
